It is a patching issue or  You did set the paths for the Sylv patches correct?

I don't know if you ever tried this but... sometimes it works better if you manually patch the Sylvan patches into UOGateway. Sometimes the one-click gateway link doesn't cut it... or even puting in the addresses manually might not do it...

I'd suggest downloading each of the Sylvan patch files to your computer and manually adding them into UOGateway one at a time using the "add file" button.

Here are the links to the patch files:

If you can get into the game but can't see custom objects then getting the sylvan patches from UOGateway or ConnectUO hasn't worked properly. Since you're on Vista, this is probably because you haven't given UOGateway or ConnectUO the Administrative rights they need to to apply the Sylvan patches.

Right click on your UOGateway or ConnectUO icon and select 'properties'. Click the Compatibility tab on the new window that appears. Near the bottom you'll see a check box that allows you to run the program as Administrator. Check that box. Click OK. Then try again.
