random game question

I have a somewhat random game question: If a pet begins with some skills at 120 or higher, but dies and loses some skill, can that pet gain it back up to it's original level? I think this is probly an old question, but I can't remember the answer.

I may be wrong, but I think pet skills will never go higher then 100, regardless of what they started at, once they drop below 100 as a result of death.

Technically it CAN go back to 120 so long as the overall skill total is under 700 points.  Pets are limited to that cap so if they have more than that and a skill is over 100, you are up the creek.
