Shard Downtime / Re: Can't Connect

Try now.

I'm going through some Anti-virus/firewall issues.  Windows Firewall kicked on and the server was blocking it.

I'll likely reboot and install my "real" anti-virus/firewall and I'll repair issue before it comes back up again later, like in the next 24 hours.

I didn't know there was a problem.  There were 4 people connected at the time of the report so figured it was isolated.

If you have a problem, speak up! :)  I can't fix something that I don't know is broken.

Is this the first package you've installed?

Sounds like you have custom hues (perhaps given by the old SH UOGateway patcher) and they aren't the same in this version.

This isn't the end of the world though, a GM could resolve it once they figure out the issue. :)

My deepest apologies for this, as it caused several crashes and some down time.  I attempted to move SH to a Linux server I have running to cut my power bill down, and it obviously failed.  It's moved back, so it will be stable yet again.

It wasn't quite 10 minutes since you did it!

I had to re-do some firewall configs and stuff that I forgot about in the day it took since I moved it.

Server is up, two are online.  Should be back to being as stable as it has for the previous week.

The migration to the other machine failed as an experiment. I'm moving it back to my main machine.  Eta 10 minutes for windows updates

Try now ^^
:) ??   :( ??

I have no idea what this means.  Is it still not working? There are several players on right now and I've been connected myself with out any crashes or repeated disconnects.

The  server restarted and was awaiting connections. Nothing looked wrong.

I have restarted it; hopefully this will do something magic.

Is it crashing frequently?  Since I hosted it has crashed once, and it was a player action.

Fixed.  Server stopped automatically respawning after a crash.  This has been resolved and the server is back up.

It's been moved off a gaming machine and onto a server.

What is different?
World saves now take 5-7 seconds, up from the 2-3 on the high performance machine.
Our Saves are now backed up with dual-hard drives and automatically sent off-site via the internets!  SH can not "die because a hard drive was lost".

If you see any issues, extra latency/lag, or any issues, please let me know.

Try again, I just allowed a firewall exception for the server binary instead of the port required.  Although I wouldn't suspect that it would fix it, I can't think of anything off hand what it could be.

If you are experiencing issues still, please let me know.

Server is not down, there are 3 currently connected.  Longest for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Verify that www.sylvanheart.net resolves to "68.59.98.20".

Start-> Run
Copy/Paste: cmd /k nslookup www.sylvanheart.net

You should see:
Server:  **********
Address:  ***.***.***.***

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    sylvanheart.net
Address:  68.59.98.20
Aliases:  www.sylvanheart.net

If it is NOT 68.59.98.20, your DNS hasn't caught up with the change.  Typing this in manually will work but it will be a temporary fix and you will wonder why it doesn't work when it switches back or my modem restarts, which ever comes first.
