St. Patrick's Day came and went, and the citizens of Jhelom thought they had been spared by the leprechauns this year. However, when the leprechauns found out they had missed their yearly invasion of Jhelom, they were not happy to say the least. They have now invaded in full force perhaps worse than ever before! The unfortunate town is overrun with pugnacious, drunken leprechauns. It's aweful, and it's up to you to save the town!

On the southern coast of Isamu-Jima you might notice there is a lot of wreckage, and you might wander why and where it all came from. If you sail out from there, you may just find out!

Near 1149, 1240 off the southern coast of Isamu-Jima is a very large whirlpool. You might avoid getting pulled in for a while, but be careful how you approach this deadly phenomenon or you may join others at the bottom of the sea!

There is much to do in this dungeon! There are two areas. You will arrive in the easy area, but can venture to the deeper, more difficult area to the east. There are many creatures to fight and sunken ships to explore! There are also plenty of treasure chest and ship hatches to be opened, but beware doing so! There are pirates who may not want their treasure stolen! In addition to treasure such as that, there are also stealable treasures to be found scattered randomly throughout the whole dungeon. There are various shells , 32 colors of seahorses, and more! There is also a rare pet to be found, the remorhaz! It is owned by the Dread Pirate Captain Remorhaz, and it cannot be taken until he is defeated! Defeat him and take the remorhaz as your own, and you may also find he holds various rare ocean treasures!

Notes
1. Have your boat facing west or east and then while near the whirlpool move a little. It detects movement and will pull the ship down.
2. It is recommended that to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the dungeon, turn off the razor light filter and turn up the volume on sounds for the game.
3. The remorhaz may spawn as tamable or non-tamable, so be on the lookout! The tamable one still cannot be taken until Captain Remorhaz is defeated.

The boxes of transmutation have long been used to change out unwanted bulk order deeds for new ones. Sometimes though, you might farm deeds for a long time and end up with a significant number of unwanted deeds. Changing them out one at a time could take a very long time, but now it's different! Now you can change out multiple deeds at the same time! Just make sure to put in enough gold to pay for it!

The server is back up. Sorry for the downtime, and thank you for your patience. We spent time researching the problem and searching for newer backups that did not have the glitch. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the glitch, we're having to roll back the server a bit.

If you have lost anything due to the roll back, please let me know so that I can work with you to get it back

[Romans 3:23]

As some of you may know, my grandfather Vernon joined here with us back on 6-25-2007. His characters were Mischief Man and Sir Tuppence. I would say he was a big part of why I got into computers and probably gaming in general He has now moved on to be with Jesus in the greatest adventure of all. I miss him a lot, but he said before he left that he was ready and knew where he was going. People might say life is tough but consider the alternative. His answer was always that he had considered it and that it was far better and he was ready whenever it came! He would then ask if they had considered it and if they were ready. I have considered it, and I'm ready too. Because of that, I can miss him, but my sorrow is not as if I have no hope. I have assurance that I will see him again soon in a perfect place and then never be apart again. I'm sure he would want me to deliver a message to all our Sylvan friends and family: Are you ready?

Consider the answer carefully. There is a life after this one, and are you ready for it? There is only one way to be ready.

The only way to heaven is to be perfect, but we must realize we are all sinners and cannot be perfect.

• Romans 3:23
  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The penalty for sin is death, both physically and ultimately spiritual death which is eternal separation from the love of God in the only place where that is possible: hell. However, we are not there yet, and so we live under the grace, mercy, and love of God with a chance to be saved from hell!

• Romans 6:23
  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

• Romans 5:8
  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Sin had to have a punishment, and Jesus took the punishment for our sins because He loves us. If we reject His loving sacrifice for us and in pride believe we can do it some other way, then we will earn nothing but death and hell. However, if we trust in what Jesus has done for us, He will save us and keep us saved. He will cover our sins with His perfect righteousness so that when God judges us, He sees our sins as being paid for already and us standing in the perfect righteousness of Jesus.

• Romans 3:21-23
  21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
  22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
  23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

• 2 Corinthians 5:21
  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

• Romans 10:9-10
  9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

• Romans 10:13
  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jesus tells us that if trust Him, we will have everlasting life, never perish, and never be condemned.

• John 3:16
  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

• John 5:24
  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

When we trust Jesus we have everlasting life. It's not something we might get or will get in the future. It's something we have, and because it is everlasting, there is no possible way for it to ever end else it would not be everlasting! To make this even clearer Jesus adds that we shall not come into condemnation but have already moved from death to life. Because of this we have hope. We also have hope that if we live to see the second coming that we will see them at that time and join them for a glorious reunion!

• 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
  13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

So, why hasn't the Lord come back yet as He promised? He hasn't because He is patient and loving and is giving everyone their opportunity to be saved.

  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

So, are you ready for the next life? You are living under God's love, grace, and mercy right now with opportunity to prepare. God wants you to be saved. Please be saved so that you can be ready and join us

Just to let everyone know, I've got vacation planned for next week and not sure how much I'll be online, so if you don't see me much, that's probably why

There is a new item which you can find for purchase on the gold stone under the tent near Magincia meadow. The new item is called a sorting box! It's an amazing box used for sorting the things that are put into it. It can hold armor, shields, weapons, jewelry, and spellbooks and can sort them according to 31 different properties!

There is also one improved item! The improved item is the ship in a bottle addon. Those who have acquired one might notice that when the addon is placed, it may show through the floor above it making it difficult to really use except maybe on a roof. This has been fixed! They should no longer show through the floor!

[1 Thessalonians 4:14]

Many  of  you  know  Alvis  (Hades,  Tinkerman,  Hunter  Gibbens,  Shy  Fox,  and  Billy  Joe).  He  joined  Sylvan  in  2008  and  has  been  a  faithful  friend  and  helper  to  many.  Though  a  faithful  adventurer  here  with  us  for  many  years,  he  has  now  begun  a  new  and  unending  adventure  in  a  land  of  glorious  wonder  and  majesty  before  the  very  throne  of  God  in  heaven.  We  are  blessed  to  have  shared  such  fellowship  with  him  here,  and  he  is  greatly  missed.  However,  this  isn't  the  end,  and  he  is  coming  back!

• 1  Thessalonians  4:14
  For  if  we  believe  that  Jesus  died  and  rose  again,  even  so  them  also  which  sleep  in  Jesus  will  God  bring  with  him. 

I  feel  sure  it  won't  be  very  long  before  Christ  returns  and  Alvis  with  Him!  I  also  feel  sure  they  want  me  to  tell  you  how  to  join  that  reunion  so  that  we  can  all  fellowship  together  once  again  in  everlasting  glory.

So,  what  is  the  way?  What  path  do  we  take?  The  simplest  answer  is  Jesus. 

• John  14:6
  Jesus  saith  unto  him,  I  am  the  way,  the  truth,  and  the  life:  no  man  cometh  unto  the  Father,  but  by  me. 

The  world  is  dying  in  sin  and  because  of  sin,  and  sin  cannot  live  in  heaven  else  heaven  would  be  dying  as  well!  However,  God  loved  us  even  as  sinners  and  made  a  way  for  sin  to  be  punished  and  for  us  to  live.  That  way  is  Jesus.  Jesus  died  taking  the  punishment  for  our  sins,  but  then  He  rose  again  claiming  victory  over  death  for  us!

• John  3:16
  For  God  so  loved  the  world,  that  he  gave  his  only  begotten  Son,  that  whosoever  believeth  in  him  should  not  perish,  but  have  everlasting  life.
• 1  Corinthians  15:55,  57 
  55 O  death,  where  is  thy  sting?  O  grave,  where  is  thy  victory? 
  .... 
  57  But  thanks  be  to  God,  which  giveth  us  the  victory  through  our  Lord  Jesus  Christ.

Yes,  but  what  does  that  mean?  What  must  we  do?  This  means  we  need  to  turn  from  our  sins  asking  forgiveness  for  them  and  turn  to  God  in  faith  asking  Him  to  save  us  and  believing  in  the  sacrifice  of  Jesus  to  save  us  forever. 

• Acts  20:21 
  Testifying  both  to  the  Jews,  and  also  to  the  Greeks,  repentance  toward  God,  and  faith  toward  our  Lord  Jesus  Christ. 

How  can  you  have  faith?  Listen  to  the  evidence  given  in  the  Word  of  God.  It  tells  of  how  nature  speaks  of  God  and  how  the  resurrection  of  Christ  gives  us  hope.  It  tells  us  the  truth. 

• Romans  10:17 
  So  then  faith  cometh  by  hearing,  and  hearing  by  the  word  of  God.

 
How  can  we  turn  from  sins?  We  can  turn  from  sin  by  listening  and  obeying  the  Word  of  God.  It  tells  us  what  sin  is,  how  to  avoid  it,  and  how  to  get  out  of  it!  This  can  seem  difficult  for  some,  but  what  is  impossible  for  man  is  possible  with  God. 

• Psalm  119:9 
  Wherewithal  shall  a  young  man  cleanse  his  way?  by  taking  heed  thereto  according  to  thy  word.
• Matthew  19:24-26
  24  And  again  I  say  unto  you,  It  is  easier  for  a  camel  to  go  through  the  eye  of  a  needle,  than  for  a  rich  man  to  enter  into  the  kingdom  of  God. 
  25  When  his  disciples  heard  it,  they  were  exceedingly  amazed,  saying,  Who  then  can  be  saved? 
  26  But  Jesus  beheld  them,  and  said  unto  them,  With  men  this  is  impossible;  but  with  God  all  things  are  possible.

Sadly,  this  seems  so  simple  that  some  people  consider  it  foolishness.

  For  the  preaching  of  the  cross  is  to  them  that  perish  foolishness;  but  unto  us  which  are  saved  it  is  the  power  of  God. 

I  hope  you  don't  see  it  as  foolishness,  and  I  hope  you  will  one  day  join  us  in  that  glorious  reunion!

Lolth has appointed yet another new queen, but not everyone is pleased to serve. Dissatisfied with Lolth's choice for queen, some Drow have started a rebellion and plan to assassinate the queen forcing Lolth to choose another.

Why did Lolth choose this queen? Why are these Drow rebelling? Whose side will you fight for?

There're quests for warriors and mages, thieves and spies, and even blacksmiths and tailors! Join the fight, and make your mark on the pages of Drow history and legend!

The entrance to the quest area is north from the chaos shrine gate.

Thanks to Llewellyn remote access is working again and with it comes a number of additions, changes, and fixes that have been piling up!

Added a Librarian npc vendor to sell the npc books

Caused gun boats and galleons to deal more damage to monsters instead of players since we are mostly a pvm focused shard at the moment.

Made galleons deal more damage than gun boats.

The SOS treasure chests can now land at the feet of the fisherman if their pack is too full!

The tailor BODs for shoes should now be repaired.

The Tokuno Peddler was causing crashing and should now be repaired.

Custom regions where it is meant to be dark and disallow nightsight should now work to make things dark correctly even against precasted nightsight spells and nightsight on items.

Oh! I almost forgot! The reward barrel now buys treasure maps at 1000 gold per level. The maps can be dropped onto the barrel one at a time or in groups as just random parts of your loot in your loot bag
