Is anyone else getting the strange message about having trouble communicating with Origin?

As you wander the desert you see tentacles waving just on the other side of a sand dune. "What is this?" you wonder and start to move closer to where you can see over the dune. As you get to the top, you see a dreadful sand pit monster and find a terrified, injured man hold his leg. He sees you and begins to call for help...

"Help!! Please help!"

"What's wrong?" you ask.

"My friends and I were searching for treasure and were surprised by that sand pit monster. They were dragged down into it, and I barely escaped! I tried to help, but I've hurt my leg. Please, you've got to save them! I know it's risky, but if you save all of them, I'll give you a share of our treasure!"



The quest starts in the Trammel desert near the compassion shrine. It is repeatable with a random surprise reward!

Admin Alder Ogham has retired. He graciously and faithfully served as the forum and website host for our family here at Sylvan for probably over ten years! I am now taking over as the forum and site host and have moved things to a new location and host to take care of them. Alder, you have been a very important part of this family, and we thank you greatly for all you have done both during your time as an in-game administrator and as our forum and site host. I hope you still come back and visit us, and I wish you well in your travels! Thank you again

Is anyone else having trouble voting on the gamesites100?

This seems to happen for those who do not use razor and instead connect using the shortcut the installer places on the desktop. The problem was that the shortcut linked to the wrong client file. This has been corrected, and a fixed version of the installer has been uploaded which should create the proper shortcuts.

To fix this without having to redownload and reinstall everything, just go to where you installed Sylvan and find the decrypted client file (Decrypted_client.exe) and create a shortcut to it on your desktop. Use that shortcut instead

Just so everyone knows, I'm going on vacation for a week, so if you don't see me, that's probably why I should be back probably about the 25th

I have released five treasure ports. The treasure they hold is yours for the raiding! Grab a gun ship or galleon, find a crew, sail out, and raid the ports to find the loot! The loot may be in hidden chests, on a boss, or both! There are four ports in Trammel and one in Tokuno so far.

The port raids are somewhat like events that players can activate using a simple switch like this one:

Some may have noticed a bug where the cannons on boats far too often said the target could not been seen. This should now be fixed.

Sylvan seas is released bringing with it a new ancient and legendary SOS system, gun ships, ghost ships, galleons, and siege constructions! All that and even more, but I don't want to give it all away at once heh

Go to the mansion in the north of Lakeshire. The Baron Alan Lakeshire was to hold an event but those invited were captured along the way! You must rescue them! The quest reward is random

Alright, so I finally after all these years dipped my toe into crafting  What did I find? I found that transmuting was a pain, and I felt sorry for all the crafters who were constantly dragging stacks of 1k and 3k gold to transmute the same annoying BoD over and over giving themselves carpal tunnel LOL

So... it became a goal to make that better, and now it should be much better! You should be able to stack hoards of gold into the box and transmute until you run out! Enjoy!
