A friend of mine had to have three brain surgeries over this week and I am going to travel out to go see him and his family this weekend so the Auction will be moved to TUESDAY APRIL 30 AT 5PM Central!!! Please make note of the change as I will not be here to run any events for the weekend as I will be traveling out fo state to go see my friend.

Not many people remember the Battle Goats event from a few years back but it was an event where players were given a special goat and one week to train it for a pet wars style competition.  Well after much discussion and tweaking and reworking in the lab we have decided to do an updated form of the Battle Goats!  We call this Battle Critters!  The basis is the same, only with changes to keep it fresh.  Starting May 1st 2013 and ending on May 8th 2013 you may page staff to receive one of the battle pets.  They will be on display at Occlo University and all have the same beginning stats.  You DO NOT need any taming or lore skill to obtain a critter!! This is important as it is an all inclusive event and they will be added to the Pet Wars listings after the final event.

RULES:
1) ONE CRITTER PER ACCOUNT!! We will write down the account names as we give out the pets.
2) Players will have until May 19th to train their critters (They will be bonded to you upon receiving them)
3) Overall winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) will receive a special hue for their pet!
4) Everyone gets to keep their critters!!

would more people come to events if I changed the times and days?  I want everyone to be able to participate so your input will directly affect my event schedule

Look for a special announcement within the week on the revival of a very special event with a new twist!

As some of you know I passed out Easter baskets from staff earlier.  If you have not gotten them and would like to after today they will be available for a limited time by paging or if a staff member wants to set up and hand them out like I did earlier.  They will NOT be available during my event times from me as I need to focus on the events and not handing out goodies.  Everyone will have a chance to get a set, we just ask you please be patient.

If I am not here by 5PM Central to start the auction DO NOT FREAK OUT!!! I have an event I have to perform at until 4PM and SHOULD be home in time, but if I am not please be patient as I may have been delayed due to traffic or some other reason.

There will be NO events run by me that weekend or Monday the 8th.  www.lascifi.com, the convention I work with is that weekend and I will be swamped in a hotel for the weekend and will need Monday to rest, even if I log into game on Monday.  This is just a heads up for the weekend so nobody expects events from me

Sorry I haven't been around much other than my event days everyone.  I am in the process of finalizing entries for LaSciFi (www.lascifi.com), a local science fiction film and costuming festival I work for, and it is taking up a LOT of time.  We have over 6 hours of shorts and full length films to review and get to judges as well as work on the format and set the times for viewing each entry and obtaining in between buffers.  I also have to obtain and arrange footage for none other than Gil "Buck Rogers" Gerard to speak during the festival so my days are pretty hectic lately.  Add to it I'm still waiting to hear back on that job I applied and interviewed for and my stress levels are pretty cranked.  I will be on as much as possible and will still do the events but I may be mroe scatter brained than usual while doing it.

Let me be VERY clear here! Insults to our shard in game is an instant Jail from me with strong recommendations to ban! If you log before I can catch you I will ask an admin to do it! ALL OF US, staff and player alike work our asses off for this place and do not deserve to be insulted! FAIR WARNING! Insult this shard, our staff or our players and you will be dealt with without exception!

By this Saturday.  I finally felt well enough today to get up and do some work..... but turned out to be a bad idea lol.  I'll give myself until Saturday to see how I'm doing.  I'm steadily recovering from a rather nasty strain of the flu (I think it was either Festus or Will who called it so I plan to blow the offender up on my return) that is slowly being fought out of my body. I'm slowly starting to be able to eat again and I can get liquids in me a lot easier now so hopefully the road from here to Saturday is clear of peril hehe.  See everyone soon!

Unless another staffer can host tonight and tomorrows events we won't have any.  My sickness seems to have gotten worse with me running a very high fever along with full body pain and swollen joints.  I'm not getting out of bed today unless I have to after this.

In the next few weeks there may be a change in the event schedule I set up.  This is due to me potentially getting a new job that will keep me busy during the evenings and my time will be even scarcer in game than it is now.  This change should not affect the weekend events or auction but Monday will definitely be either made a morning event or eliminated altogether.  Nothing is final yet and I will post any changes when they happen but this is something I need for myself and my family to help improve our life.  I love all the players and those who turn out for the events but I have to put my future first, or else I won't be able to afford to play the same at all, let alone devote time into it.

Starting Monday (2/18/13) I am adding more events into the cycle.  This Monday will start off with the Joust being put into full effect in the rotation for Mondays.  Starting Saturday (2/23/13) AFTER the auction I will add Rat in a Jar tot he line up for Saturdays as well as Pit and Paintball in full effect.  This saturday will be the ONLY auction day that will have a follow up event from me.

Event may be late today. Long wait at the restaurant for food. I well ready the champ spawn when i get home from here.

As everyone should know by now I do a rotation of events on a schedule (that sometimes does get adjusted due to my hectic and unpredictable schedule).  My question is what events (of those at the event center) would you like to see added into my rotation?  I am currently familiarizing myself with "Rat in a Jar" and will be adding that at some point soon into my rotation as a Saturday event.  So tell me what events you want to see added and I'll do my best to learn them (or refamiliarize myself with them) and add them into the rotation. 

Also, for those on the early morning (earlier than 9AM Central) play times how many of you are there? And if you can get at least four (4) dedicated players who want an event at say 8 or 9AM Central I will pop in around that time and host one on Saturdays (schedule permitting)

So apparently tomorrow is some sort of big football event that everyone goes ape poop over and so me not being a sports fan didn't know this.  Add to it that I have to do some prop work tomorrow at a friends house and you can see where I'm going with this.  I will be moving this weekends events to TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY at 4PM Central (Tuesday will be Champ Spawn and Wednesday will be Pet Wars).  Enjoy the game or take the extra time to finish training or bonding your pets and I'll see you all Monday-Wednesday for events!

I have a birthday party to go to on Saturday and will be unable to host the Champ Spawn.  Maybe another Skygod will be able to but as for me I will not be able to.  Pet Wars is still set to go on as normal.

All that being said I will reschedule for a different day, try for an earlier time, and look at doing a different event in its place.  Sorry for the inconvenience,

Because you all have asked for it in place of my normal rotation of seahorse race and bagball I will be hosting a special JOUST!!!!!!  bring your favorite steed and prepare to knock people off their steeds!  Normal event time of 7PM Central time still applies for this one. 

I am working on reviving a few other older events that have gone dormant and we'll see what comes of it in the coming future!

I will try to be back in time but me and the wife have a lot of things to get done today, we both need to go in for our eye exams and new glasses selection and take care of some business for our business.  IF I am not back in time for the Champ Spawn I will hold it on Tuesday instead at 4PM CST.
