I've really enjoyed Sylvan Heart since the first day, and so I've been doing little things to get more people to discover the shard.   Here's our small google ad that's running at the moment:

Google wouldn't let me use the term "Ultima Online" in the ad, weirdos.

All of my guildies [DS] have quit the playing the game for one reason or another, so I'm wondering if there are any guilds accepting new members?

I'm curious if I could eventually get involved with writing custom code for the shard? I do have some game programming experience: I wrote Pacman and a multi-player Bluetooth tank battle game for smart phones    I know a good number of programming languages  though I don't use C# regularly.  I most often use C/C++ and Java.  Is there anyone on the shard that does coding of new features that would like some help?

I started building my first house and now I can't find gold fast enough   I put a little pen and yard in which I can put animal spawns when I can afford them.  In the meantime I'll keep taming, naming, and releasing animals nearby so I can feel surrounded by fuzzy cute things.  Here's the damage so far:

Hi. My name is Ted (Anagami in game), and I've been playing on Sylvan Heart with a group of friends for a few months now.  I've recently quit playing wow because I enjoy UO more.  I'm interested in helping out Sylvan Heart.  I have Linux/Wintel system administration skills, and work as a computer programmer.  For fun, I run a site that offers free internet services at http://www.blueplanethosting.us.  If the admins of Sylvan Heart would be open to the idea, I would like to help host the UO server piece on a dedicated Windows or Linux VPS, which I would donate. You would retain full control of the shard of course, I would just be responsible for paying the bill and keeping the operating system up-to-date.  You will be able to remote desktop (windows) or SSH (linux) to the server, so the experience of running the shard won't change much.  I could help with setting up tasks or cronjobs that ensure the server is restarted when it goes down.  Of course I understand that this is my first post on this forum so this message will be received with some skepticism.  If my offer sounds interesting/helpful to Sylvan Heart you can contact me by emailing blueplanethosting@gmail.com.  I can meet up with the admins in TeamSpeak or Ventrilo, or do a Skype conference to discuss things further.  Thanks for reading, --Ted
