I was looking through some of the tutorials on runuo.com and they seem helpful, but they are for 2.0. I guess I would need to see some of the existing script code to get an idea of how to extend things in 1.0.

I'm a professional programmer, but have not written anything for UO.  I'm willing to help with scripts, I just need to get started somehow.  Is there anything I could read to help familiarize me with how to deploy new code into a UO server?  I'm completing my grad degree in computer science this semester (if I pass my defense in 2 weeks :/), so I should have some free time to start coding in June.  I just need a primer on the UO environment, like what APIs are available and such.

Adding to the weird list: lately I've been having to sometimes double-click my bags multiple times to get them to open.

Sometimes while I'm fighting in a dungeon, the action just slows to crawl, then like 5 seconds later is back to normal again.  I know what you're thinking, "world save", but the world wasn't saving each time this happens.  It's almost as if the server gets bogged down, and then catches up.  Does this happen to anyone else?

I "upgraded" to Windows XP from Windows Vista the moment I got my new laptop.  Most computer manufacturers offer a "downgrade" restore CD for Windows XP for small cost.  Vista is just annoyingly incompatible with many older games because, of course, there weren't a lot of the security facilities in place when the game was written.  When I tried to run UO on Vista, I get the client.exe stopped working too, but not consistently, I was able to play like every fifth time I started it   

Windows 7 beta is now available...can't wait till product version is ready.

Hi Alder.  You need to take the http:// off the front of the ftp URL.  SMF adds http:// when you add the [url] tag.  If you get rid of the tag the ftp link will still show up as a link. Thaaaanks

I have a 24/7 ftp server that I could host the file on.  The server has a 10mbps downstream and 3mbps upstream connection.

Update: I went ahead and setup the FTP and sent the details to Alder and Acacia.  Users can see which files are posted to the FTP by following this link:

This happened for to me for a short while today, but it resolved itself somehow.
