Bizarre, I was just thinking about this yesterday, saying to myself, "wouldn't it be nice if I could just ask my house!" At least I found my cell phone today with the online locator!

I can't get past the connecting screen.  Is the shard down on purpose or crashed?

Used to be we could turn in treasure maps for gold amount according to their level.  Could that be added to the transmutation box?  Maybe exchange map and for gold amount or atones?  Wouldn't have to be according to map level.  Just a straight out amount.  1 map any level =  amount atones.  Just a thought.

I'm perfectly happy with the way things are, although I do miss more company but I feel that will come along in time.  As most players, I have times when I can't be around and days when I can't get over involved because I know I will have to log.

I like to rp my character however, I don't really enjoy conforming to in game rp.  I've been on other servers that impose rp on the game world and I find the players end up in cliques...those who immerse themselves in the rp and the rest of us who are clueless and no longer fit in with the server. 

I like it better here, where you can participate if you like or not and still feel welcome.  Besides, I don't have specific times when I can routinely play.  I play when I can grab the time and that doesn't really fit in with organized rp or other events.

I'll be in Sylvan as long as there is a Sylvan.  By the way, if there are new players who need anything to improve their game they are welcome to contact me in game.  I have stuff and I'm very willing to share it to help another player along.  My characters are Prosperity, Avarice, Prudence and Fidelity

Hey, just so you know I haven't deserted you.  My hard drive crashed and with that and vacations, visitors, etc, I am still in the process of getting back into the game.  Having all the same issues I had when I got my new computer but I figured it out then and I will figure it out again.  Hope to see you all by the end of the week now that I finally have time to work on it.  Prosperity

Oh I don't usually comment on anything but I think I'm well suited to comment on this.  I've been here 3 years and played most of that time without sockets.  None of my characters are fully socketed yet.  I'm rich.  I can buy anything I want but prefer to find and make things on my own.  I found my mythics.  I have quite a few, actually, and have sold a few.  I will socket anyone that needs socketing if they have valorite since that takes time to gather.  I like sockets.  You don't need to be fully socketed to get rich fast here.  And if you ask, you will find someone to give you or help you get anything.  I like Sylvan because there are many layers and facets to the game.  You can get really strong and rich very fast or you can take your time, do it all yourself, dilly dally, and still have things to look forward to for a long long time.  I like sockets.  It's just another layer to the game, something more to achieve.  I like augments.  Just another thing to search for.  I liked gaining the skill and the resources to be able to socket armor, it's another challenge to be met.  I like things the way they are.  I'd be especially disappointed if sockets disappeared.  I like Sylvan because there's more to the game than just bashing away at monsters all the time.  Ok, I'll go decorate my house now.

Thane, this has been happening to me frequently.  It seems totally random.  Would someone who is running Sylvan on Vista Home premium, 64 bit, copy the exact client compatibilities they are set to?  I need to compare what I have set.  I would sincerely appreciate it.    

Thanks for that info.  That got me into the game but I'm still having the same client.exe has stopped working and drop to desktop only not as often.  Last night, Prosperity dropped and I couldn't log back in until she phased out.  Happened twice in Despise in a few minutes.  If anyone has any idea why this may be happening and how to solve it, I'd appreciate the advice.

I'm having an issue where UO crashes to desktop a short time after logging in. Sometimes it immediately crashes on login, and sometimes up to a minute or so later. I get a "client.exe has stopped working" message and UO closes. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1) 64 bit. Has anyone encountered this problem before and found a fix for it?
