Hiya everyone! KukoShaku / Cria is back!

I've had a string of problems with my computers (that's right plural! ) over a long time. Which combined with uni and work have slowed things down a LOT    But i made it back, hopefully. i just need to re-install everything lol

I hope the GMs are still around and terrorising the locals
I hope my chars and account are safe and sound... ready to strike fear into the hearts of many! or at least make a few laugh

I'm sure uo-install related problem will arise... they always do lol

So yeah, hope to se you in game sometime

All new members start out at the lowest rank, then after a small (fairly easy hunt) they are promoted. Cria is working hard to set up quests/events and hunts for the guild. There's already a guild quest book! 3 even, for different ranks! Completing quests and participation in guild events all contribute towards rank promotion And of course bragging rights

As you may already know CoM has agreed to Kill on sight anyone who is in our "to kill" book. I'd like to remind everyone that we only take heads as trophies, and we do not loot anything from anyone who's killed. We also Res anyone who's killed (after heads are collected of course ). This is a great opportunity for everyone to test their skills and have fun!

Hiya, this thread will be use to explain things about CoM. So if you have any questions about CoM or anything to do with CoM, please post them here.

First up, quests and books:

All active quests and events will be displayed in one of three books. The Book of Hate, Book of Destruction and/or the Book of Terror.

Each of the books are designed for specific ranks and should only be used by those who carry the required rank or higher.

Hate is designed to be used by Legionnaires and Marauders. Destruction for Marauders and Destroyers. Terror for Destroyers and Martyrs.

The first quest in each of the books is a rank promotion quest. For example, if a Legionnaire ranked member completes the first quest in the Book of Hate. They are promoted to Marauder rank. This gives them access to two books (Hate and Destruction) and more quests to do for the guild.

Writing in the books may only be done by Martyr and Martyr Master ranked members of the guild. They may set quests/events or change existing ones depending on the situation.

Also when you are attempting a quest from any of the books, please let one of the Martyrs or the Martyr Master know. That way we can keep track of who is doing what and reward the right members

It is the month of October and Halloween!

What better time to announce the revival of an evil guild!

Cria has taken it upon herself to bring the guild back to life and its former glory! She has also added a few things of her own.

First lets start with an explanation about what the guild is...

The guild is dedicated to evil and all things bad... killing, pillaging, domination, enslaving the weak, procecution of those who oppose the guild and all the other "good" things in the life of evil.

That being said the guild is by nomeans a way for individuals to rampage accross the land... we do that together, or under orders from above (all within the rules of Sylvan).

The guild will run guild only events, hunts, RP storylines and adventures and maybe a quest or two on the side in between things. All of these events carry rewards of either gold, something nice or someones head. Cria will set things up at first, but if things start rolling nicely she'll nominate a keen player to help out with these things. Though all members are encouraged to give suggestions.

During the guild's formal gatherings (such as meetings) all members must wear a black hooded shroud of shadows. Only the member's cape may be of a different colour. Capes signify the persons rank. Outside formal gatherings members can wear anything they like.

Cult of Malas is not limited to a particular race, all who wish to be evil are welcome!

The guild's ranking system and cape colour:

Highest rank [Held by Cria]: Martyr Master (Elder) - RED

Second Highest rank: Martyr - Yellow

Third Highest rank: Destroyer - White

Fourth Highest rank: Marauder - Blue

Fifth Highest rank: Legionnaire - Green

Lowest rank: Meat-shield - Black

All new members start out as Meat-shields (lowest rank). Then through participating in hunts, events and the like... members will be promoted. First by Cria, then by anyone at the Martyr (second highest) rank.

When deciding promotion Cria and Martyrs will speak together and decide who gets promoted. If there are no Martyrs to talk to during promotion Cria will decide on her own.

Another way to be promoted is by doing a special quest for the guild. These quests will be decided upon by Cria.

Anyone who wishes to join the guild must contact anyone from the top three ranks. All new members must prove them selves worthy by participating in an event untill they are promoted to Legionnaire rank. This could be any event, hunts and things also count.

When a Meat-shield gets promoted to Legionnarie rank, they have to go through a ritual. This includes reciting the Guild Code, an incantation and bathe in HATE, DESTRUCTION and TERROR.
This ritual and what to do will be explained later on to new members.

Traitors and those who leave the guild are hunted, killed and have their heads taken for display.

Hiya everyone! I'd just like to let everyone know that the world of Sylvan will be a little less evil for a bout a month. I'm going to Japan to visit some friends and get laser eye surgery done. So i'll be gone from Aug 20 ~ Sept 20. But not to worry! Cria will be back after that in full glory of evil and cookies! remember that's one of our good points    I have spoken to Acacia and she's very kind to keep my account 

So yeah, see you all in 4 weeks time! don't go too nice now!    hehehehe

Hiya, I'm looking for some nice body armour. At the moment i have an Ancient Samurai Do. So i'm looking for something better. Please let me know what you have for sale and the price either here, pm or in game.

Today we had a second event of Man VS Beast. If anyone has any screenshots or the time when the event was run. Please post em in and show everyone. I think at one point we had a carpet of bones...

I'll give an over view of the event that we had. It is not perfected yet (or so Thane says). I thought it was fine... we were doing fine untill the Paragon showed up    hehehe

Before i go any further... this event is VERY DANGEROUS ie. you will die... over and over again. I am not kidding, ask anyone who has participated. Mondo death in this event. So this event is not for those who don't like dying. But you can spectate if you wish.

righto, back to the explaining of the event.

Participants choose to either be a mage, or a warrior. Mages only have a spell book and all the spells in it. (that means no druidry) Warriors get given a weapon of their choice. Both kinds of participants wear normal armour (no Sockets, nothing fancy). The aim of the game is to *laughs* live... but seriously to kill all of the lions. Participants battle the lions in a small area within The Pit. There is a res point within this area, so no worries if you die (and you will die - well expected to anyway).

Todays battle started out with 2 or 3 lions (maybe someone can correct me on it). and we eventually worked our way up to 5 lions and a Paragon (again i may need a correction here *looks around for Thane who was doing the spawning*). But what i figured probably should happen is start with 1 lion as a warm up. Then move to 2, then 3, then 4 and finally 5 lions (1 is a Paragon).

If i have missed something, please post it or let me know 

Those who participated today, Good job!! It was fun! and it was hard, my mana kept running out but we got pretty far. Love to hear what you all thought of it

Hiya, i was just wondering about the so-called evil folk of Sylvan. So i'd like to get a show of hands of everyone who is EVIL    This includes new and old chars. Everyone [evil] is welcome! For I am plotting an evil plot!    those who wish to join in please let me know either here or via PMs (PM Cria in game). I know some wish hide their evil side (lets face it we have one... but not all choose to embrace it) and that is understood. In that case just send me a PM so i can take note of your participation. I will let you know what i have lined up for us

Um, i don't know if you've seen it or if it's just me... but there are a lot of misplaced tiles in Yew around the water's edge. I've seen them in many places. They are the sandstone tiles i believe. I'll try to get the coordinates of all of them next time i'm on.

Hiya, i was wondering if anyone has a list of recipes of "new" things you can cook? I remember reading somewhere on the forums about being able to cook Ramen and all sorts of things... things you couldn't normally get. Is that list still around? I've been searching high and low (mostly somewhere in the middle) for those recipes with no luck. Are those foods still around? Perhaps, one of the almighty and all knowing skyguds would know the answer to this? Thanks

Hello, I've just recently made my come back to UO and Sylvan. My old computer died a horrible, horrible death taking several technicians' lives with it. Now on my new one, i installed UO Mondain's Legacy. I noticed UOGateway has fallen over and ConnectUO seems to as well (at least for me anyway... i keep getting the 404 error). I managed to find razor, though after poking it around a bit it too seems to have failed me. It loads, the uo sign-in screen loads, i enter everything in, hit enter, and it sits there on the account verification screen. Is there something i'm not doing? or doing too much of? Is there another way to connect that i don't know of yet?

Hiya, everyone!! I've finally came back to UO. It's been a long while, and i'm sure a lot has changed... and some that stayed the same. I'm not sure if my account is still alive. But i can't wait to get back in!    Can't wait to do some cool events and see people explode... mmm... explosions... er... anyway... Figured since i'm back, i'd let everyone know. The old, the new and those who got here and cannot get out. So yeah, hope to see you all in game!

Hiya, it's me again with a question this time    I have searched for about an hour now about PVP and looting. I have checked the Shard Basics and all i found was what i already knew... pvp is OK as long as it's in character. Which is fine with me, because every character i have made, i have given them a personality.  The problem is... once you do make the kill and the victim's body is at your feet... What exactly are you allowed to loot off the corpse? I take it money is a given, but what about regs/nice gems or an item? is there a guide line that i missed somewhere? or maybe a rule of thumb to follow?

Hiya! It's me again! with the same guild! still hoping it will grab some attention.    I won't write out the whole guild outline here again. I've done it twice now... it's reallt long and you're probably tired to looking at it. So straight to the point. The guild will be up and running as soon as i can get it all organised and sort everything out. Right now i'm looking for anyone who might be interested in joining. As a basic rule of thumb is that as mercenaries we work for money, doing whatever it is the client wants us to do + pays us for. We are nor evil nor good. So anyone can join!    If you wish to join, or you have questions you want to ask. Please feel free to post them here or PM me or contact me in game (i go by the same name in game "KukoShaku") I will update the guild happenings and what not here.
