Actually, I've already managed to connect. That's why I said it looked deserted. Sorry, my sarcasm relating to the instructions clouded that one.

My actual concern was regarding my original Sylvan account.

Any chance a backup of it exists somewhere, and could be restored?

Well. It seems I haven't played in a very, very, very, very *pauses for a breath* long time.

The new "2.0" shard that has nothing but very vague instructions on how to connect seems to be rather deserted.

Trying to log into the original, but I'm not sure my account exists anymore, or what GMs are still around, so I have no idea who to PM about this.

Any help? ^_^

Yeah. I don't enjoy the massive lag that client gave me....

But it was worth a laugh.

Was wandering around on the internet and found a 3D freeshard client for UO. Graphical overhaul? It plays like UO with the graphics of runescape. Kind of a trip, actually. Here's me wandering around Sylvan on it.

Alright, all. After a LONG bloody downtime in which my computer decided to break every single piece of UO I had and not let me fix it, I think I finally will have it working here in a half hour or so, provided everything goes smoothly and nothing decides to break. Fingers crossed as to my account still being there.


Anyways, since I'm back. Might as well get back into something I was good at [Or so I'm told].

I would DEFINITELY like to see some more PVP going on. I rarely see any cool fights let alone full out battles/wars going on [Unless I'm just in the wrong area at the wrong time?]. Heck, the announcement of a pair of guilds going Order/Chaos was incredibly interesting.

You know. It occurred to me recently that we're missing something. This server is INSANELY newbie friendly, which is brilliant. But what happens when you hit the skill cap? Max your skills? Get fully geared?

I mean sure, there are events here and there, and the community is wonderful.

But we need some gameplay. The custom high-level mobs are fun the first few times through, but after that...

We need some high-level dungeons. VERY high-level dungeons.

And it's been a while since we've had a nice scenario. Abraxius was the last, methinks, and I wasn't even around for him.

It may just be me reminiscing over the OSI NPC sieges of Britain, where hordes of the undead and their overpowered leaders assaulted the main town for two weeks straight, being valiantly fought off [and killing] the players.

But y'know...Just an idea or two.

Yeah. It was the client. CUO works fine now. Don't even want to bother checking UOG.

Meaning...No one should be downloading from EA or Markee anymore. Make sure to use Fileplanet, or some other download site that issues the file "uoml_setup", NOT "setup-1.46.0.3".

Hm. Yeah, I tried that. For some reason it doesn't allow me to choose a client in UOG. Even if it did, though [which it used to], UOG still wouldn't let me on the server. I have to use CUO.

The Markee Dragon download link no longer works, and the official link sends out the client at 6.2-6.3 which is up to 2D KR-era.

I'm trying to download an outdated version from Fileplanet. I'll let you know if there's any luck when it finishes in an hour.

UOG Never worked for me.

ConnectUO isn't working for me now. Bloody "Ultima Online Is Not Installed On This Machine"-ish error when I try to connect to a shard.
