Thanks for the info.

The two I am most curious about are the ruby and tourmaline.  I have some and they indeed do say the same things as here.
Ruby - Creature: +5 Armor
Tourmaline - Creature: +3% All Resists

So I was just thinking since "armor" used to just mean physical resist, that it would just add there... but then again yeah theres things like armored swampies and whatever that drow king has.  Dunnnnnno.

But with the tourmaline say I take a maxed out Rune beetle, which would have 95% poison resist and add a mythic tourmaline (+5% all resists).

Would it become...
1-  100% poison resist (95+5%)
2-  95% (with that creatures max being 95%)
3-  Something else because of some hidden cap to resists that was created to prevent this.

I have some queries involving augmenting pets.

1.  How many 'sockets' can pets have?
2.  For the ... rubies I think, it adds armor.  Is this adding to its physical resist, or something like what armored swamp dragons do?
3.  With rubies (if physical resist) and tourmalines, Is there a cap that it can raise the resists too?  or is the sky the limit?

Tmap locations are static.  What im not sure of is whether Fel maps have boosted loot.  I dont think they do.

I have heard luck does effect chest loot types.  IE better chance at a good gem.  Im not sure but,,My main hunter does have high luck and does pick every check she finds.
For the mining thing I was referring to the osi treasure hunting system.  They made mining affect digging up treasure maps.  I think it was only in last last few years on osi they actually made luck affect chests, so wasnt sure if that was the case here.  Luck only affected artifact drops and corpse loot for the longest time.

Yeah thank you both, covered most of it.

Skills are... almost up, waiting on magery, last bit of necro annnnd like 4 points in healing. If that donation stuff is still open push it to 1500 if I can.
Stats will wait until skills are done (at least to 1200), unless the camping trick doesnt work here.

A few follow up questions since you mentioned treasure hunting, and Im still stuck in osi mentality.
-Does mining affect dig radius, or do people use things like automap to find them?
-Are the t-map locations static or random?
-Does luck affect quality of stuff inside map and dungeon chests here?

also...
Can any item (non clothing) be socketed, or is it only items that say "max sockets (2)" or the like?

I was just thinking with the direct magery spell damage this server has, it might overcome the difference of the damage types.  I love wither, but some dont like having to be in the middle of the nastiness to get its full effect, also the whole negative karma thing >: )

The creatures I was encountering while looking for this proved to be beyond my abilities. I have serious concerns about what lies within.

20 days later.....

Just some weird tidbits from perhaps a foolish person who did nothing but necromancers after they were added to uo.

For my mage focused characters with necro...

120 SS
60 Necro
120 Eval
120 Magery
120 Parry (unless I paired with alchemy or taming)

was my base to work off of.

why 60 necro...  cause thats all you need for wraith form and 100% corpse skin/blood oath and wisp familiar for even more mana.
why 120 ss...  that dictates how long corpse skin/blood oath and the like will last
Wraith form for unlimited mana in fights basically (paired with lots of LMC and slayer spellbooks = more mana than you know what to do with)

I only take Necromancy passed 60 if I want to spam wither, or if I wanted strangle/mace in pvp.  But with the changes to aoe magery spells here on sylvan I dont see why people would care too much about wither.

Usually had taming along with it for a meat shield while i corpse skin/flamestrike everything I saw.

  Hey yall, being new to sylvan and non-osi shards in general I have tonnes of questions.  Figured it would be simpler to just ask here.  With that in mind, I do appreciate the 'hidden' nature of things, why I loved early UO and games like Ryzom.  So I dont need specifics and spoilers, unless thats the only way you can answer :P  either way Im lost on many things.  If its a dumb question and I can read it somewhere in game or on Sylvans website, just send a slap my way.  Im big on skimming over things when I read.

1.  Are any events open?  (ie.  Treasures of tokuno)
2.  Do augments and the like come from most monsters (or just the sylvan added monsters)
3.  Do the Sylvan added magery damage changes also affect necromancy spells?
4.  I see tamable creatures... then I see "Ancient" versions of them, are these tamable as well?
5.  Does fel have the 'double resource' thing like OSI?
6.  Fel.... whats the deal?
7.  With augments, they show sockets required.  Glimmerings do not, does that mean items can have both?
8.  Are the Peerless bosses working and open?
9.  Didnt see entrance to heartwood, (where you can attempt to get fletching runics) does it exist or if not, where can i get runic fletching kits?
10. Can you socket arties?

I know you might say the fel ones would be easy to answer myself, but Ive been warned not to go there because its and I quote "hardcore mode".  Sooooo theres that.  Anywho, any guidance on any of thats would be grooovy.
