solved my own problem. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled retyping all the shard info and client directory. Irritating!

I get this message now after disabling the Welcome Screen on razor. Razor won't open ultima client. I did google search this and I tried reinstalling razor to a different directory, no go. Any ideas?

Many of you don't remember me probably some vets do, but anyways I got an email from Sylvan heart about the server change and it brought back some memories. I used to play Peter Goldsmith (I think?) back in 09'-10' along with Helen and another friend of mine who played a famous PK. Started a guild with a vet who went by the nickname Heli who played a wizard.

Just thought I'd say hello again, since I wasn't sure what had become of the server since I left. Good to see it's still going. Strong community to keep a game this old going for this long. Might come back online and play some. That is if I can remember my players name lol

Thane help me out here? Peter Goldsmear? Smith? lol Who know's might have to just come on and start over again to experience the first and most memoriable MMO for me.

The person below me wants to buy a 40'inch Sony Bravia HDTV at about 800$ but doesn't want to buy it at the local store because he wants to skip out on tax but isn't sure about that open box item advertised on amazon because it might have cosmetic blemishes on the unit and that means it will take longer to get a warranty replacement which will probably be a refurbished unit anyway.........

No, I don't believe getting rid of sockets will help game play because Ultima Online was meant to be used by hundreds of players on a single shard while we only have maybe 14 online at any time that is an imbalance of resources vs players who compete for those resources giving every player the ability to become extremely powerful in a very short period of time.

So if you were going to get rid of sockets why not instead get rid of some resources such as:Make it tougher to gain skills and lower the cap as well as lower the cap for stats, make existing common monsters such as orcs more difficult to defeat, and include PKing in more areas besides Fellucia, when someone asks for help in public chat it should be ignored (Knights in 13th century England did not have the ability to use a public chat system to call for help).

But also keep in mind to get rid of sockets means getting rid of Fellucia, Alarics Dungeon...etc..etc..because without high stats, skills, and sockets those places are impossible.

In conclusion I don't believe its the sockets that are the problem, to get a really good idea of the issue why not ask how long it takes  for a new player to collect socketed armor and reach the skill caps, and compare that to another free shard.

PS How are we going to do more group hunting when there is only a small number of people on the shard?

Hey guys, seeing some good stuff here, keep it coming. Just one reminder though, do not get discouraged if you don't hear a confirmation or denial of something you requested being worked on. Quests can be complicated and take a long time to get them made right. So be patient and someday maybe you'll be accosted by knights who say icky icky icky pathwoi whoop fongoo, They no longer say nee, or maybe they will just say Nee, lol.

one of my wishes was a quest based on the holy grail, so I'd like to clarify that my request was for the original quest for the holy grail in the book 'the adventures of King Arthur'.

Further thinking about my wishes and expanding on the Holy Grail movie.
