OK I've narrowed down that the problem that occurs for me I believe is because of razor. The thing is that I don't know how to fix it. See when some spells are cast I get a message that looks like this: [Language string "(some numbers)" not found]. I think it's because I run the Latest version of Razor (1.0.4.20412) The reason I run this version is because of the Unhandled Exception that occurs when I try to use the Old Version of Razor.

Before the last time my computer took a dive on me I ran the old version fine. Now since then I wasn't able to get Windows XP installed on it again because of some problems with my disc, so Karina installed Windows XP 64 bit. (which by the way I hate since nothing seems to work with it) I don't know how to get the old Razor to work properly or I would try that so I wouldn't have to deal with the stupid language string messages.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it because it is very annoying.

Now for the interface problem. Since reinstalling everything to play on Sylvan I now have this new box for my character status. I have no clue where it came from or how I got it because I never had it before. I want to retrieve the old character status box but don't know how to or even if I can. The new box doesn't show any of my resists or followers which I would like to see. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like.

My son is now a new addition to the shard. He is 15 and has some gaming experience in other online games but absolutely none in UO. I've been teaching him things here and there and answering his questions as he comes to me but I'm sure it will be a while till he gets the knack of things. I've directed him to come to the forums and read up on what information about the game we have here and I've also bookmarked UOStratics on his pc as well for more help. But he's not a big fan of reading unless he wants to know something specific, so he basically dived right into the game without reading a whole lot.

Please help him feel at home as I am positive you all will. His character name is Dawnstalker and he's been frequenting the beginner dungeon. I've only set him up with some simple armor right now until I can explain more about skills and macros. And I set up some of his important macros like [grab and [atone. He is already dreaming big and as he says he wants to be as uber as Karina and I one day. (that is if he doesn't get bored with the game before then hehe, he's already inherited that from Karina ) Another thing is he isn't the greatest typist either so have patience if he takes a bit to respond if you are talking with him. (he doesn't own a cell phone yet so no practice with texting like a lot of other kids his age LOL)  Thanks everyone!

Well just 3 days ago my computer decided to go on vacation. I received the blue screen of death, which Karina said was nothing at first. I rebooted my computer only to find it wouldn't boot up. Soooo, until Karina figures out what the problem is I won't be able to use it. There is still Karina's computer that I can use, but she hasn't made any progress in getting the shard to work properly on it. And there is also my laptop, which is a Mac, but it's kinda slow and I'm not sure how to get UO to work on there either.

I'm sure she will figure out the problem on my computer in no time, but it may cost some money to get it running again. Depending on how much it will cost us will determine how long I'll be away. I know I recently logged onto my account a few days ago, but its been a while since I've logged into Karina's for her. If someone could check to see how long ago its been I can let you know if I should put a hold on her account or not. Also if someone could save me any holiday shinies that may be given out for this Memorial day weekend I'd appreciate it. 

I'll be putting Karina to work on my computer just as soon as she gets home from fishing with our daughter hehe. And maybe it will be fixed sooner than I anticipate it to be. I'll keep you all updated once I find out what is wrong.

Extreme Top 100 has reset for January! Don't forget to go vote for Sylvan!

It is sad to say that we've slipped to 6th place. I know its become ever more difficult to hold 1st or 2nd, and last month it seemed we held onto 3rd for quite a bit until we fell to 4th. And this month, up till now, it seems we've been just holding onto 5th. We really need to get the ball rolling again and fight to keep ourselves as close to the top as we can. I know with school in and now the holidays approaching we all don't to sit down and relax in front of the monitor as much, but once you can if you all could just take a second of your time to vote before you walk away I'm sure we can battle ourselves back up the ladder again. So don't just sit there reading this anymore, Go Vote! 

What can 700 billion dollars buy?

Here is what our local paper has done to help people understand how much 700 billion dollars is, its kind of interesting. If you haven't been following the news, this is what President Bush has been proposing to spend to bail out the financial crisis. I wonder, if our government has had this kind of money all this time, how come they have claimed in the past that they don't have money to help out with health care, upgrading our schools, and more important things. I see this bail out as a way to help the rich get even richer and push more hard working, blue collar middle class people into poverty. I'm not one for politics and probably the last person you would want to talk to to have an interesting conversation about our government, but I think this is rediculous.

Extreme 100 has just been reset! Go vote everyone! 

I think it was yesterday when I had voted I noticed that we had still been holding steady at #3 on Extreme Top 100. But when I just voted I noticed that some other shard snuck past us at an alarming rate overnight. And the odd thing is, is it isn't the shard that had been in 4th place while we were in 3rd, because that shard is now in 5th.
It looks to me like another shard figured out a way to use a bot to do thier voting, either that or they just got some really persistant players all of a sudden. 

This is why you should never leave crossbreeding in the hands of Thane, while Acacia has her back turned and Lamalas isn't watching out for his precious llamas.

Eeep!  We've dropped to 4th place! I know that lately we've slipped out of the top 2 down to 3rd, but when I voted we had dropped down 1 more.    So we all need to take a second and clicky that link and cast our vote for our wonderful shard. I know Felucca isn't supposed to be easy to travel, but with only one way in and out of the area deters some players from even going there I think. My suggestion isn't to make it easier to get to the island and travel to where you want to adventure, but to maybe ease the way of leaving the land.

My suggestion is to toss in a few (not too many) one way portals to return either in or near Britain or even back to the Meadow. Or, if there is a way, place a few double click stones that will port you back to Britain for a fee. (deducted from bank if possible, in case someone is down on their luck and has no cash on them)

Well that is my wish, I don't expect it to come true, but hey it never hurts to ask, right?
