Running Windows 2000 pro service pack 4 on a PII 233 @262mhz with 256 SDram @120 mhz and a hercules 3D prophet 4000XT 32mb Kyro (pci). using the client that was linked on the 'how to start' section of the Sylvan Heart site. I tried a bunch of things; reinstalling, UOG before and after, with patching and without. Even some fix that should help, but as this works by blocking certain patches (I've heard the newest patch blocks free shards?). I was thinking that maybe the client linked on the site is already patched too far and (even though it needs some minor patching via auto update) that blocking the patches won't work if they are already there..
FYI: UOG doesn't recognize my client, I can't select one, have done the 'fix' thats stickied on this forum even mixed it with the UOG forum 'fix' ^^

I dunno if I'm right but its 5.13 am now and I wanna go to bed xD
If you know a client that works or what the problem is, help is more then welcome (or a client link, wasn't sure which version or client to download other then the one given on the SH site)
And now I say Good Night !!
You need to get into the "Info.log" file and where it says Installed clients at bottom
Type in that path to the client save then reopen uogateway.
So your log.info will look something like this

On my win2k pro box this is all it took
on my wifes win ME box I had to cut and paste into the Shards.xml and also do they above.
I fixed it by using Razor on the same install I did all the other things.. not sure if its just because of razor or because of everything together. But it's working now !
thanks for the reply anyways and It's handy for other people ^^
