I think it was yesterday when I had voted I noticed that we had still been holding steady at #3 on Extreme Top 100. But when I just voted I noticed that some other shard snuck past us at an alarming rate overnight. And the odd thing is, is it isn't the shard that had been in 4th place while we were in 3rd, because that shard is now in 5th.
It looks to me like another shard figured out a way to use a bot to do thier voting, either that or they just got some really persistant players all of a sudden. :(
Yeah, I think the more Extreme 100 tries to make the site bot proof the more others find their way around it. I say we all just get five different ip addys coming into our play spots and we vote 10 times a day!! Crimson pays.
How do you get the gold member title?
I know for a fact at least one of those shards has a bot program working for em I just can't prove it. It annoys me too, I got my alarm set to get me up early to vote dang it!
Are there penalties for using bots to do voting? Maybe we should look into it too :-\ it doesn't look good, but if they get away with it... Fight to win i say :)
It is cheating, will result in a ban if Extreme 100 finds out and IMO would make us look bad.
Lets definitely not cheat. I am a huge champion of fair play. Guys we have a greeat shard, botom line is we are just lazy, many of us read the forums twice daily, heck lots of us POST twice daily, so while we are here lets VOTE twice daily. I must admit I am one of those letting the shard down by being lazy, but I'm gonna try to do better and vote a lot more. I have received a couple of good suggestions for growing the shard. If you have any, please pass these along to a shard council member. I really want to hear from you newer players, what brought you here and why have you stayed. We have the best shard out there so lets make it bigger :).
they r definitely using bots at this time yesterday they had less than 300 now they have almost 600???
come on now only a moron wouldn't notice it...
How is that they aren't being noticed?... Well only thing we can do now is get clicking like mad! ;D
