Rumors from the people have reached the ears of sages and historians and some theories are being reached. It is said that there are perhaps 20-25 different scraps containing notes to an ancient unknown song. Perhaps if they are all found and brought together the full melody can be learned.
An ancient prophecy mentions that something concerning the strange frozen shadows being discovered as well.
"When the burning glory of the sun is wielded in mortal hands it shall burn away all darkness."
This has lead some to believe that hidden somewhere is a source of power capable of destroying the source of these shadows. All heroes of the land are charged with finding it. Also mentioned was a man named Jondal Farstride as the last wielder of the glory of the sun. Tis said that he was buried in a hero's grave in the Field of Echoes.
