Awhile back i had run across a NPC Squire that one could buy.
It fit in your pack And you could click on it to help you fight likw a pet.
they came with different weapon types and you could place armor on them like dressing up a vendor.
I remember having alot of fun with them until the Shard went defunk.

hmmm. Interresting idea Safewire. Unfortunatly, we will probably need a scriptor for that, something that Sylvan does not have atm. Perhaps you could put the word out if you know of one. Alot of us have ideas we would like to see on the server, just most require a scriptor to ride the code for it. :-[
I have seen this on other servers where these were called Mercs (short of mercenery.) I never found it to be a very reliable script... it had its share of bugs.
I played briefly on a shard that let you have npc mercs. I hated them, the average IQ was somewhere between stump and lima bean.
