I am wanting to know were to download UO  so I can play.  I can not fine it anywere and I can not fine my old copy of UO.

I think I gave you the info you needed to find and download UO when I sent you your account acceptance.     Try going to this site:  http://www.sulexservices.com/uogateway.htm
You can find UO Gateway and a link to download Mondain's Legacy.    You can also search on Fileplanet, this one works best with Sylvan.

well you did but the link in the pm was not takeing me to the same place.   I will try downloading it and see if I can get it to work now.

ok,,, downed and intall UO gateway  and the UO game.   Started up UO gated way and try to connect to your sever and it says "you dont have and Ultima Online Clients intsalled on this comeputer"

But I do.

I tried changeing compatibility mode  but still same thing

well got it to work for a min,,, maked char and it started to load up and it crashed.    tried it again and got no Clients error again. 
tried reintall both UO gateway and UO client now just getting error again.

I am in windows XP.

Can someone help me   :(

The last time I had to reinstall UO I got that same message "no clients" and found out I had dl'ed from the wrong site and got the 9th Anniversary edition.  I went to fileplanet and dl'ed UOML(not 9th Anniversary) and I do believe it was fine after that.  Did you also download 9th Anniversary?  I wish I could tell you all the steps I went through to get back into Sylvan but I am at a loss when it comes to stuff like this lol.   Hope this helps in some way.  If not, I hope someone else can point you in right direction.  Good luck!

If you made it at all to the login screen at some point, I believe it would have said "9th Anniversary Edition" on the screen.  But since you probably would've remembered seeing it you may have dl'ed the right UOML.  Beyond that, I just really don't know enough about it to give good advice on it.  Just make sure you've read all posts pertaining to these problems and something might jump out at you.  I do remember I had to dl and install uogateway several times before it would work right.......I have no idea why lol, just that I did.

With an older client, you might not get all the patches you need... and may run into problems. I think part of your problem might be the UOG.RAR file that UOGateway uses. Please read the first part of this topic:

Remember that once you have the new Rar file created does not mean that UOGateway will like it - sometimes when you are connected to the internet and start UOGateway, it will download or create a new UOG.RAR file that might overwrite yours. In that case, after you have started UOGateway, try not letting it download anything or update anything. Also, re-replace the UOG.RAR file after you've started UOGateway, but before you start UO.... I'm not 100% sure on this, but it might work for ya.

Once you've gotton that far, if you want the custom Sylvan patches (and believe me, you do! hehe) ten you might try this:

I'd suggest downloading each of the Sylvan patch files to your computer and manually adding them into UOGateway one at a time using the "add file" button.

You can also try it the easy way... use "One-click gateway link" near the top left of the forum. It is the same thing as trying it manually but sometimes it does not work right.

First question is what patching do you mean?  If you patched up with the pay servers of OSI, this could be the reason why.  We function best if you aren't patched past 5.0 something.

UOGateway and ConnectUO should both recognize this version. I'll admit that sometimes UOGateway won't, though, for some reason. Then use the first link from Cpt_Starfox's post above and proceed from step 2 onward. Only do this, though, if your UOGateway does not see the client. It should see it.

If you're using Windows XP and your client crashes immediately after startup, here are some instructions contributed by Damira

-Go to the sylvan heart settings in UO Gateway.
-Note the "directory" address there. This is where your client is located.
-Go to that client, right click, select properties.
-Go to "comptatibility", click the "run the program in compatibility mode for", and select Win98.
-Go back to gateway and lauch Sylvan Heart. No need to reset your patches.

If it is just Sam then you can try deleting the desktop with his name on it and seeing if that fixes things?
