Title: Changes in the Auction Process
Post by: Admin Acacia on March 23, 2007, 12:11:11 PM
This has been talked about in the player Wish List section, and staff has actually discussed this for quite some time.  A person does not auction something in real life with out the auction house taking a cut of the profit.  We have decided we need to do the same thing and have set up a scale of fees for this.

This will be based on a person's entire auction lot, if they have 1 item or a full 5.  If a person's overall auction group, value under 100K, there is no charge -  from 100k to 1 million, 5% fee - one gold over 1 million upward, 10% charge.

We have also discussed, since spring is here and soon we'll be going into summer, those of us in the Norther Hemisphere, that we might cut back on our auctions held per month.   When April arrives, the auctions well be held twice a month on the First Sunday and the Third Wednesday.

The switch in auction times is not set in stone, and will hinge somewhat on player response.

We are adding one more change to the Auction.  Minimum starting bids on all items on the auction are now 1K gold.  No lower amount will be accepted on opening bid.
