Your Ogre Lords could be easily replaced with some Roided Trolls with the same loot and great hides to boot.    As more and more folks buy new puters this problem is going to get worse and worse, not better.  There are only two ways it will improve: a) Axe the Trolls or b) folks with Vista find a new home.    It really sucks to not be able to explore the world without risking losing all your stuff.   As far as my "unstable OS" goes, I do hate Vista and hope to get XP on this machine, but at this time it is not an option.  As of now there are 4 people who have posted on here that can not freely explore the great land that is Sylvan Heart.  While it is only 4 people, considering that the average online is probably about 12-16, that is one third to one quarter of the shard population.  That is not counting those that don't realize that it is indeed Ogres that cause them to crash.  I had no idea until another player mentioned it to me and I realized I had never seen an Ogre on this shard.  I guess that is because whenever one gets near me I crash.

I think a different mob with the same loot type replacing Ogres would be a great improvement to the playability of the shard and what a grand event could be had to find all the locations of these critters!

Antorrias is an Ogre crasher!  Yes I use Vista and yes I would love to see them all rounded up and tossed out of SH forever and replaced with Trolls!!   `amen

There comes a time in every mans life when he steps back, looks around and says, "Wow!  Are those cookies!?" 

When I was hunting for a shard thre were two things I was looking to avoid...OSI Clones and Free Arties!!  Everything is Given to You!!  I found Sylvan Heart and was very happy with its "Happy Medium."   Like others have said, there are not enough folks playing regularly to hunt as a group on a regular basis.  With that being said, I don't see why there cannot be some some mobs or quest put in that are too tough for even the greatest of socketed toons and must be taken on by a group.  Adding to the challenge would be much better than taking away from the ability, IMHO.

Last but not least, we need a scriptor the most.  Or at least someone who knows how to install new scripts and work out the bugs.  There are literally tons of neato things that can be added.  A friend and I put up a test shard some time ago with the intention of him teaching me to script.  While I learned a lot, my knowledge is limited to being able to adjust existing scripts and such. 

I like what we have and think our top priority should be to find a scriptor.  Thanks for your time.

You, my Friend, are my Hero!!     I played for a few months this past spring and summer without being able to see or use any customs but by installing all the files manually, I can now see everything.  I was getting pretty excited when I noticed how many more files there were than were showing up initially installed.  When I finally got them all installed (Yes, it was a tedious pain) I fired the game up and low and behold, I can now see and wear that sweet 6 socketed mask an old friend gave me!!  Thanks a TON and PLEASE, for all of those that follow me or share this burden, make your post a sticky and share the great news!  Sylvan Heart can be enjoyed by those cursed with Vista!  Now, if I can only find a way to get Roller Coaster Tycoon to work on it!

Now I gotsta go relearn all me hot keys before I can go after the big bad meanies out their!!

Thanks for your replies!  Unfortunately, my problem is not connecting.  I can connect just fine but I can't see any custom graphics or play paintball and such.  If there are no solutions for that problem with Vista then I will just have to wait until I can get XP on this machine.

Like it says, I've been away for a little while and I was just wondering if there has been a solution to getting custom graphics to work with Vista?  That's one of the main reasons I have not been playing and doing a duel boot or installing XP are just not an option at this time.
