Alan read the message again, he couldn't believe his eyes. It seemed that his enemies had made a political mistake of enormous consequences and had all been expelled from the court of the Duke. This meant that Alan was being recalled back to the Duke's side. He looked out the window of his office. This place here in Lakeshire had been his home for nearly 18 months, when he had left the Duchy he was told it was for good. He had done much good here since he had arrived, but he had been thinking of a way to make these people stand on their own for a while. Many of them such as Link and Viskaroth were strong warriors who needed little or no guidance. All of them had good hearts and the best of intentions. Yes, Lakeshire would be fine without him. That night Alan finished packing the rest of his belongings into two saddle bags to go on his pack horse, he was leaving at dawn the next day. Sleep was hard to find that night, and his dreams were troubled. Livorin visited him and reminded him of their deal and that is would be completed eventually. Mother also visited him in his dreams as she had before. His enemies it seemed were glad he was leaving. He was fine with that both of them had their power broken and were very limited in their influence now. He had one other dream as well, a face new to the area. The man was hunched as if with age and wore a cloak and hood that hid his face and features. Now and then he'd catcha  glimpse under the cloak and all he could see was bones. The man was a skeleton. He looked at the Baron and smiled as if to say everything will be fine here. The Baron found that the most unnerving smile he ever saw.

OK, I know this is 11th hour and Thane asked me to post this a week ago. I am not going to be able to continue making it to Friday RP if it starts at 10pm. It translates to 4am and that is just too early to get up. Last week we were pretty much feeling ill for the rest of the day from just getting up too early  . Anyways, We're asking what everyone thinks of moving the time later to either midnight or 1 am start time. I talked with Thane and Link and we came up with 1 am as a good time for them, we just weren't sure that would be a good time for anyone else. That would be 7am for me and would be much, much better. So, please post your thoughts here as I don't feel like doing a poll.

We will be starting at 9pm eastern on Fridays instead of 8pm. This change will hopefully enable us to get started close to on time.

Calandria lay by the edge of the water looking at the piles driven into the silt. They would form the supports for the town's docks. Already so much had been done and now what was once a barren area of rolling hills and forest was becoming a town.

The young wizardess was a bit bored by all the mundane matters around her. Courdenay had ridden out with a patrol each morning and left her with no one who was interesting. She had wanted to go with him, but Courdenay had refused telling her she must remain behind to protect the workers while he was gone.

Calandria looked down at the water and suddenly had an idea. She would summon a friend from the water. She knew a spell for summoning a powerful water elemental, but that wasn't what she wanted. She was after something with more than water for brains. She was going to try to summon a water spirit or creature from the lake.

Clandria had a gift for feeling the fabric of magic, adapting the spell for summoning a water elemental to a spell for calling out to a creature in the water would just require some subtle manipulation.

She began the spell, looking deep into the water, she could feel the wetness, sense the currents. Her consciousness went down into the water searching for creatures. Her eyes glazed over and suddenly the color and the pupil disappeared to be replaced by an ocean playing across the surface of her eyes.

She searched the water for what seemed like an eternity, although it was actually only a couple of minutes. Finally her vision returned and she blinked away the haze to see in front of her a creature that was shocking. It looked similar to a lizard man with some obvious differences. Gills were visible on the side of it's neck and a crest almost like a fin ran from the top of it's head down the center of it's back. It's too large eyes were double lidded and entirely black.

"What are you?" she asked. It turned it's head sideways and spoke, showing a mouth full of razor sharp pointy teeth. "Sa-ha-gin", it said. The voice was totally unexpected, almost a splashing of water where a hissing would be expected. It blinked it's too large eyes a couple of times then as if reacting to some unseen signal, turned and swam back down into the water and out of sight.

Calandria thought about him the rest of the day and decided tomorrow she would try to summon him again. She also decided to tell no one about him.

OK, looks like we are getting up and running. LRP has 4 account members with more coming soon. I expect to be kicking things off in ernest in just a couple more weeks. This weekend we are going to work on getting the guild town built. The frame of the guildhall is up and decorating is soon to commence. I am also pleased to announce we now have our very own forum, go check out the rules, and write up some character histories. Remember, you don't have to tell us everything leave a bit of mystery about yourself for others to discover in game. Forums are at http://www.chatarea.com/Lakeshire so get there and post.

Ahoy Mateys I be off after pirate plunder in Felucca and I need strong warriors to accompany me. I want the model of the flying dutchman so I propose after the auction tomorrow Feb 10th, somewhere around the tolling of 5 1/2 to 6 bells o' the evening by the eastern sun we set off. I'll bring the ship we need to sail to the island and I only want the model for me own cut, the crew can split the rest of the booty!

My mage Teclis was in wrong fighting dark siders and mainly using the explosion spell. When I would kill one with an explosion spell, it kept crashing me. It did this twice in a row so i stopped hunting there. I was fighting them in the entry tunnel when they died. If you need more info to recreate this let me know what you need and I'll try to provide it. Thanks

A slightly different take on the teleporters that are available, have a mall with actual vendors and their items for sale there. It'd be like one stop shopping!!

I am also buying small Bods.

I was wondering if it's possible to make it so armor and clothing could be changed to another type. I think it would be a great boost to roleplay to see a noble wearing a heart of the lion that looks like a  fancy shirt instead of a gold plate tunic. If it was made so the slot the item is equipped in doesn't change, then balance shouldn't be an issue and make it an ability for high level tailors or require a special kit or even the use of a runic for it.
