With the release of the new Windows OS I wanted to just pop in and say that if you have an existing Sylvan folder on your system when you upgrade it will work (as does Razor) with only a few minor system prompts.  I cannot speak to fresh installs after the upgrade and someone will need to test it to see if it will install properly.

From now until Friday 6/5/15 you can grab my birthday pie from the meadow and for the first time EVER you can get my main staff hue without the need for a special prize ticket!! Just go to the staff hue box in Mag, drop in your item and 1 VS and presto it is done!

I have not at a date and time yet but we are having the annual party this year again. I want to know what games our events you want us to try and do this year add part of the festivities!  I cannot guarantee we will do them all but we will try to do as many as we can depending on availability, attendance, and difficulty of preparation and execution

I've been walking these lands for so long I can remember what most of the races looked like in their infancy.  I have seen species come and go; I have seen new ones rise from the ashes of the old.  In all those years few have brought me as much intrigue and friendship as that of the many canine species.  Of all the canines in the world one has been under my protection as it was almost hunted to extinction in the days when the Trolls, Giants, Ettins and Cyclops' were allied under dragon rule.  I have taken many, many years to revive this species, to channel the long brewing instinctual hatred for the former 'Kings of the world' who treated them as mere playthings to sate boredom.  In those years they have grown in strength and in size and are now ready to slake their thirst for revenge on their former predators.  

Finding the breeding grounds of my pack will not be easy as it is well guarded by other breeds of wolves that have been selectively bred by myself and others deemed strong enough over the years.  Should you find their breeding grounds and fight your way through the various packs of wolves that serve under these alpha level predators then, and only then might you be graced with the presence of my children.  The strongest amongst you will be able to approach the den, but only the most determined will be able to convince the wolves to join you.  So be strong and never falter and you may just win the favor of my favored pets, as well as myself.  Good luck and bring my children their vengeance.

It came to my attention earlier tonight that it was possible to mark runes within the labyrinth.  This was not intended within the release and was a goof on my own end.  I am going to trust in everyone to use the honor system and if you have a rune to WITHIN the area (the island outside is more than fine) please destroy it.  The area was never meant to be one that you can just hop into, fight the boss, and leave. 

Sorry for the confusion on this and I hope the area remains fun for people.

It was suggested tonight that the co-owner restriction may need some tweaking.  As most of us are aware you can be a co-owner for far more houses than you can own, but if you own your 5 houses you are unable to be a co-owner unless an admin works their magic on the player.  The suggestion is to remove that restriction when you have 5 houses, but I want to take it one step further (if possible) and make the co-owner limit 5 as well. 

This limit removal will allow our real estate guru's to work freely, guild/friend co habitation easier, and my board game less of a hassle as well.  If this isn't doable, so be it, but it's just something that was suggested tonight and I had been thinking about for a bit.

It was dark and chill this night when a large figure staggers into Ocllo University, home of the 'Sky God' Garrick Sandor.  As the figure enters the building Garrick immediately readies his halberd for this new visitor is a Minotaur, one of the fiercest creatures of the old tales.

"Stay your weapon! I mean no harm." the creature pleads.  "State your purpose and know this is a place of peace." the lord of Ocllo replies as he lowers his weapon seeing that the creature is clearly injured.

After making the Minotaur at home within the walls of the University and tending to the most serious of wounds he hears the creatures story, one of sorrow, darkness and loss.  Will you also hear this creatures plea and choose to assist him?  Do you dare brave the newly discovered land?  Then seek out 'The Lone Survivor' and know honor.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who call Sylvan home.  I would post more but for once I'm at a loss for words lol.

As many are aware I have been keeping staff doppleganger's at bay in my home of Occlo.  Today they broke free of my spells and now try to claim my home as their own!  Please take care of them as they seem immune to my spells now!

As some of you have experienced Sylvan is experiencing a zombie problem.  For killing the hordes you will be awarded a token by whatever staffer spots the horde.  Come Halloween you can turn in those tokens for special prizes!! Fear not though.  If you cannot make the Halloween Party, Oct. 31, 2013 Starting at 5PM Central, the rewards will be available until Nov. 5. 

Aside from the zombie smashes we will have the annual Costume Contest! Apple Bobbing! And a special board game event (I will be redesigning the board and decorating it for the holiday.

As some may have noticed who frequent my island home, things are starting to change.  It seems the citizenry of the island have been transformed, even my town crier!  Fear not though!  While they may now be hideous monsters they still offer their services to all who need them.  And it would appear a host of tragedies have befallen my poor island as well, lots of 'nameless' warriors have apparently met their end at the hands of the evil skygods.  I have calmed the evil spirits..... for now and they walk freely on the island until I can find a safe place to put them.

That is correct!  Halloween is just over a month away and on Thursday October 31, 2013 I will be hosting the annual Sylvan Halloween Party at Occlo!!!!  Last year we did a costume contest and bobbing for apples but this year I want to be bigger and better!  So my fiendish little minions, PM me here some things you wish to see done for the party.  If any of your idea's are chosen you will not only get a decoration at Occlo with your name on it, but a one of a kind token as well to commemorate the event (all participants in actual events at the party are still subject to prizes for those events).  So send me those idea's so I can make the Annual Party all the better for all of you creepy people!

My birthday cake and hue will be available!!!  Cakes are, as always free, and the hue will be the standard 1 VS per item.  I will keep them available for a few days since my birthday does fall on a Sunday and a lot of people are busy on Sundays.  Hope you all enjoy the cakes (they are edible) and the hue.

Due to a storm mucking with my power and internet I will be unavailable for event tonight unless it clear up before 5.  I'm on my phone sending this right now and if there was a UO emulator for android I would try it lol but until that day I am restricted to crappy Louisiana power grids that poorly shielded against the EMP's produced by lightning strikes

Thanks to some scouring of the net I have found the TRUE rules for Rat in a Jar and the location will be updated as well as appropriate changes being made to the rules.  Look forward to the proper version of the event coming soon

We need new events!  and when we need new events I like to get player input!  So here's the deal, you send me your suggestions in game by writing a book (or however many you need) and place it in a box I will set up at Occlo and I will do my best to incorporate a few of them into game. 

NOW, if your event is chosen you not only get recognition for it but we will come up with some sort of prize to give you for your effort and creativity.  So get to creating the new revolutionary events for Sylvan Heart!
