Way back when the hives got broken for whatever reason, I was told back in the day it was due to the custom stuff, and so a semi custom hive was placed in the world for solen hunting.  I know there are solens in a few areas but that's the reason we don't have active hives.

Dex stacking, as it is lovingly termed, works for evading as much physical damage as possible so you only have to worry about the heavy damage of certain breath and magic attacks.  As a dex monkey myself I will rarely take physical damage and so long as I can keep evasion going I'm generally fine.  Now for when evasion fails I WILL take heavy damage, but having high HP helps keep me alive between those attacks and healings.

Send me a message here of vendor tiles that do not have a return tile in place.  Those need to be looked into to rectify the issue

With the release of the new Windows OS I wanted to just pop in and say that if you have an existing Sylvan folder on your system when you upgrade it will work (as does Razor) with only a few minor system prompts.  I cannot speak to fresh installs after the upgrade and someone will need to test it to see if it will install properly.

It is a false positive because it is a cracked version of the game changing a registry value.  A lot of anti viruses pick it up because it is making a change in the registry files for win32.

A lot of what we have in game from the vanilla files is from a REALLY early build of the game with a lot of custom work overlayed.  To avoid as much of the technical end of things as possible (would be here all day with explanations otherwise) certain things that were deemed non essential or not fully integrated in our build were altered or never finished under the original owners discretion.  Until recently there were features purposely broken that Cypress (current owner) fixed to be reinstated into the game.  I would have to say the buff screen falls into the 'not completed' category of our build, same as the elven race and heartwood.  Maybe Cypress can find a way to implement it fully, but that's up to his time schedule and workload.

When you installed the Sylvan files that is your directory, the sylvan folder.  I didn't use the installer as I was here before it was made so mine just points to my UO folder

There is also the Deco mall at the south end of Magencia to buy items you can find only there.

Tokuno handles 90% of the 'japanese' themed items.  Almost every exotic item will be found at player vendors.  Rei's Odds and Ends keeps a decent stock when he's around, Link's jewelry, Blackout's spot.  I will be going through over the next few weeks to see what shops are not stocked or been dead for a while and potentially removing them from the vendor shop portals.  You can ask any veteran player about rare items and 'uniques' privately and most are more than happy to discuss them.

All you should have to do is direct UO automap to look for the main files inside your directory.  You should NOT have to direct anything to a server.
