I haven't been around much for the last..oh..week been kinda busy. Well I signed into Niima and found her..dead. At home..and dead. I did not leave her like that, I know this for sure. And noone has my account info so...i dunno what's going on. All i know is she lost..everything......my aesa birthday colored dress and cloak *sobs*

A while back we did have a crash and a revert, but it was a small revert.  Unfortunately, we do not replace items lost due to shard crashes/reverts.  I do remember you telling me about your character dying in her house and losing everything because she reached zero thirst/hunger while she was casting on herself to raise magery/resist spells.  Could this be the same incident that was reverted to?

No, i wasn't doing any spell casting with Niima. In fact I signed out right behind Muse (My vendor) I remember because I was placing money in the bank before sleep. I signed out alive..*Sighs* so i guess I am royally screwed..

Unfortunately this is true.  It is why you have the option to insure your gear.  In the unfortunate case you die and cannot get back to your corpse.  Insuring your items is like having it blessed, except that it costs a small amount of gold.  I would highly recommend that next time you get gear you don't want to lose, either bless it if its clothing, or insure it.  That way when you die it stays with you.

Even so I don't understand why I was dead. I signed out in the safety of my home which to my knowledge, when I sign out is 'auto-log out' instead of initial waiting period like switching with characters in another area. Now I just feel..unsafe. And I was working towards getting bless scrolls but like things they take time and effort which I have been putting alot into. Now pretty much for naught.

I don't know if this could be a cause or not, but I've noticed that you sometimes do not log out instantly if the door to your home (or room in an inn) is still open when you log off. I would sign out to switch characters and if my door was still open, I could not log in with a different character (took me a while to figure out it was the door). I don't know if something could have killed you in that short of time, as I don't know where your house is and what the spawn in your area is like. But it's the only thing that has caused me to not log out instantly in my house or in an inn.

Only very rarely do you not instalog in your house.  But Mirage, you need to understand, we had a revert.  So the fact that you logged out after doing your vendor basically never happened.  If you read the post above, you at one point, according to Aesa, were macroing and died.  The revert probably took you back to that spot when you were dead.

I do think its unfortunate that beacuse of a revert in a case like this that admin couldent go back to the save log and at least replace special items.

*sticks her tongue out at Gael* That death was weeks ago under Sedda you silly billy hence why I didn't think much on the end of it. And I always sign out inside the home Aderyn after all my business is done. I strange like that ^^; It's fine flint, I understand well they cannot replace my stuff and I am doomed to never see my items again (including my birthday aesa stuff and 500k that was in my special pouch *gonk*). The whole death thing is really what urked me, that's all. =) I thought home was suppose to be the 'safe point' but apparently it's not 100% so.

Yes. I understood that. What I was referring to was whether any of your doors were open when you signed off. For some reason, doors being open in my home has kept me from insta-logging in the past and offering that as a possible explanation. That's all
