I hate UO. Well, actually. I hate Dial-up. Then I could just install AoS and patch up to whatever if I didn't have dial-up. But I still do hate EA. Who owns UO... So in an essence I DO hate UO. Paradox? </lame joke>

So, I'm stuck using UO: ML, patch level 6.0.1.10, patch 72. It was downloaded it that way.
Tried connecting through Razor, actually got in (zomg) but nothing was responding. Funny seeing my house invisible, but everything in place, lmao.

I did the whole thing, in http://www.sylvandreams.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=2858.0 there, but.
UOgateway doesn't open without running as admin, and running as Admin, it just gives me errors about how it can't DL any lists or set ANYTHING up. Vista, y'know?
"UOGateway was unable to compress the downloaded serverlist. Reason: Error creating directory or file."

I tried manually patching it, but I get the dreaded "Cannot find: Fonts.mul" error.

Also. It doesn't matter what errors UOGateway gives so long as it downloads SH's patches and launches the UO client. Can you elaborate any more on your problems? Exact details. What do you click, when do you click it, what happens when you click it. Even the tiniest thing matters so give ALL details of everything that you've tried.

I have found that it is very tricky to get Gateway first connected.  However once done it is golden.  It needs to be done in a specific order.  Download Game and Gateway.  Install Game Install Gatway, Patch with the OSI Patcher (note I stop at 5.1b or soon after) Then Go into Gateway hit the one click gateway link on the site and it should patch and work.  If not uninstall it all and try again from scratch.

Pretty much, I gave everything there.

It's most likely the client itself, because if I try to use Sylvans Client, the client crashes. Which signalfies that its incompatible with MLs stuff. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and try patching up.

Don't download ML from the UO site.  Make sure to download it from Fileplanet.   It is tricky, but somewhere in the forums here with the helps posted, there has to be a way for you to get it working to log in.

Well, I decided to just wipe ALL things relating to UO on my computer, including the registry.
Installed AoS, then patched it. Patched it up to 4.0.5b (Actually went a bit past that, actually, for good measure) which my friend has as the patch when he downloaded UO: SE.
Zipped all the files that belonged to Sylvan into the folder. Then tried it.

UO Gateway didn't work, still no client. Tried booting through Razor, even tried booting with just the client.

UO gateway got: No client. Client found but Client crashes upon starting. Fonts.mul error.
Razor got: Cliloc not found, Cliloc error, invalid Cliloc file, Fonts.mul error, Client Crash.
UOGateway with Razor: Same as Razor.
Manually: Client just crashed, or Fonts.mul.

Edit: By the way, thank you Acacia, heh. I managed to log on for like, two seconds a day ago SOMEHOW, and was glad to see my account still exited.
