I've Been Away Awhile

Like it says, I've been away for a little while and I was just wondering if there has been a solution to getting custom graphics to work with Vista?  That's one of the main reasons I have not been playing and doing a duel boot or installing XP are just not an option at this time.

Thanks for your replies!  Unfortunately, my problem is not connecting.  I can connect just fine but I can't see any custom graphics or play paintball and such.  If there are no solutions for that problem with Vista then I will just have to wait until I can get XP on this machine.

I'm no Vista expert but... If you can connect using UOGateway but just not get the custom graphics... then that sounds like a UOGateway problem... I'd suggest downloading each of the Sylvan patch files to your computer and manually adding them into UOGateway one at a time using the "add file" button.

You, my Friend, are my Hero!!     I played for a few months this past spring and summer without being able to see or use any customs but by installing all the files manually, I can now see everything.  I was getting pretty excited when I noticed how many more files there were than were showing up initially installed.  When I finally got them all installed (Yes, it was a tedious pain) I fired the game up and low and behold, I can now see and wear that sweet 6 socketed mask an old friend gave me!!  Thanks a TON and PLEASE, for all of those that follow me or share this burden, make your post a sticky and share the great news!  Sylvan Heart can be enjoyed by those cursed with Vista!  Now, if I can only find a way to get Roller Coaster Tycoon to work on it!

Now I gotsta go relearn all me hot keys before I can go after the big bad meanies out their!!
