Im really not sure on a sure fire solution to this problem. Different methods have worked for different people.

Are you using an ML client?
If not ML, which?
Did you patch through OSI?
How high did you patch if you did?

Those questions might be of some help to whoever can find a way to fix this.

Download the uogold client from the uo website. It works with uogateway, identifies the client as Samurai Empire. That should fix your problem. MAKE sure you patch up to OSI or you wont beable to see all our pretty customs!

i am using ML, but im not sure what OSI is

OSI aka Origin Systems Inc (i think) a subsidary of Electronic Arts are the people who invented UO. They have pay to play servers. They make patches every so often that introduce new monsters, items etc... into the uo community. You can patch up to them by double clicking the Ultima Online Client before you modify anything.

i am using ML client, i havent patched through OSI at all

ive tried gateway, uoconnect, and razor

razor kinda works but doesnt seem very stable

Which version of UOGateway are you using?

Also, what kind of error are you getting from UOGateway?
