My wife and i have been scrimping and saving for the past year in an attempt to purchase bicycles. Well last week we had enough and went out and bought two from the local sports shop. Today while I was feeding my daughter my wife came back in from a 30 minute ride to catch a breather. 15 minutes later I went outside to put her bike away and to go for a ride on my own and hers was gone. Someone stole it right out of our front yard. A years worth of hard work down the drain. Our home owners insurance would cover it however the $500 deductible is more than the bike was worth so its no good there. The police say they find a good number of bikes and are able to return quite a few. They have the description and the serial number so here is hoping something happens. Right now my wife and i are really depressed as we watch $200 go down the drain.  :'(

It sucks, totally sucks!  We had people walk right into our garage and steal a bike... twice.  People have no qualms anymore.   Sorry for your loss.

Never be less than your dreams.

there was a time here people wouldnt dare touch someone elses things for fear of getting their @$@! kicked in.  however thanks to todays nannystate laws you can't even slug someone who is well deserving.  Should be everyone persons right to whoop on someone if they are deserving!

I am sorry for your loss and hope the police are successful in finding the bike and still in good condition. However, times like this make me miss my home state of Texas where you can shoot someone for tresspassing on your property.

PS: Before anyone goes off about gun control, I never did that to anyone but knowing I could was very cool.   ;D

Well I have registered the bike as Stolen with the NAtional bike registry.  Its a database all law enforcement have access too.  Also I contacted the local Neighborhood association with a pic of the bike as well as posted a pic on the cities local forums.  I have 50 flyers to put up tomorrow so I will keep my fingers crossed.

That totally sucks and I would feel your pain if mine was stolen.  The only good part is mine is old and ugly hehe.  It works fine just no one has any reason to steal the Rustonator.
