About Downloading uo and uogateway

do you have to use internet explorer to download mondains legacy and uogateway for it to work, will firefox not work

I use firefox and I was able to download it from the sites that pop up when you google ultima online download (i think i got mine from download.com). I got gateway from the site that's listed here in the forums. this one:
