Well since the shard is down,  I guess its a good time to ask a question or two.

What is doom guantlet?
Where can this Doom Guantlet be found?
Is it tougher than distard?  (kicks my butt but i do eventually come out ahead)
What is doom like?

What I know is that Doom is a dungeon that was made to be dealt with by multiple people. I've only been there a few times, on OSI or on Demise, and you have to be a fairly large group and the big boss still takes a fair while to kill with multiple animals and warriors hitting him endlessly. So yes, going there alone would certainly be an extreme challenge, way way way tougher than Destard, and most likely considered a little crazy as well :)

I remember it being a huge dungeons, with lots of rooms, with lots of "mini-boss" that are still quite powerfull.

And you mentioned the shard's down?

Now that's a bummer, I had 0.5 to go this morning when I turned on my macro, I bet I won't have it yet :*(

Doom Gauntlet is a special section of the Doom Dungeon, where you get to fight bigger creatures (Gauntlet Bosses). Every one of these creatures have a chance of giving oyu a Gauntlet Artifact, your biggest chance being with the Gauntlet boss, the Dark Father.

To get there, you need to get a special skull that drops on bone daemon. You can summon a Bone Daemon by gathering 1000 daemon bones and speaking to the witch in the doom dungeon. You use the skull as a payment to cross the lake, and end up in the Gauntlet.

You shouldn't go there alone until you're sure you can take severe punishment, because those monsters are among the strongest of OSI creatures.

Yes, you saw the kind of beating i can take in destard the other day festus and i have trouble over there solo. I wouldnt sugest going there for a while.

The Gauntlet should not be attempted solo unless you are a tank, or have one VERY strong pet, such as a golden dragon or greater glacial.  All info on how to get in is correct and only the summoned bone daemon gives the skull as it is designed as a quest.  If you are not a tank or have pets such as I listed then you are best served going as a group.  My player is a semi tank and still needs to go as a group to finish the gauntlet.  I know of only a few active players right now that can take the gauntlet solo, so groups are still the best choice.
