repairing porcelain mounts?

I feel like I should know this but I am drawing a blank.  I have the tool to make them and the materials but I cannot seem to get it to repair.  I get the message "you cannot repair that"   any help would be appreciated.  thanks!

You cannot use the tinker tools to repair a mount, but you do use them to make the kit that does repair mounts. You need to create and use a "mount repair kit" to repair mounts.
