Christmas In Marketvale...

Weeks of preparation had gone in to the decorations, the shopping, baking, cooking, cleaning and getting to know each other. It arrived, the big day, Rease arrived at the tavern early to check on the last minute details. Rayne worked to touch up the decor, working and rearranging gifts under the tree when the first guests arrived. Isalentia, new to the vale was kind enough to keep them both company before the guest started arriving! Town criers started to call out, Party at the Pretarian. Come and share in the celebration.

The scent of pumpkin pie, pine needles and hot chocolate wafted though the air, spreading about the feeling of home to welcome all in as family. Flickering holiday lights glimmered around the doors, casted their glow though out the tavern. Shinning ornaments upon the tree reflecting the light of candles burning bright upon the tall pine. Colorful boxes stacked high under the tree, ribbons and bows of gold and green, red and blue all adding to the atmosphere of family.





Rei, Crim, Lady Caly, Biki , Carm, Eduges, Rease, Rayne, Isalentia, and so many others showed up to enjoy the day! The tavern was even blessed with the honored presence of the Skygud Lady Acacia. She brought good tidings and seasons greetings to all. Her presence gift enough to last the year, Marketvale was truly blessed this year for her visit... and all those that gathered with in the warm embrace of the tavern.



Carol's were sung around the tree... All the guest joining in to request different songs, Singing along with the music or cheer on the entertainers for the evening. Silver bells, Jingle Bells,  Let it snow, Christmas in Killarney and so many fell off the lips of the patrons and the bards alike! Christmas in Marketvale was a complete success that would leave lasting memories for all those who attended!



Alas all parties must come to an end. But even when most had gone home, and the doors where shut. Before the cleaning got done and the candles blow out. One last spin around the dance floor was called for! One even Frosty joined in on! Sliding from his seat as a guest of honor! Frosty The Snow Man came to the tavern to enjoy the evening. Throwing caution to the wind to get down and boogie with a few of Marketvales True Beauties! Isalentia gave frosty a run for his money sending the old boy back to the Candy land to cool off!



But the doors finally closed. Tables and chairs all went back to where they belonged, Frosty went home. Acacia left them all with smiles, and the fire's warmth was all the light shed upon the tavern when the Old Wolf and Dark Angel went up stairs to exchange their own gifts with each other and sleep off the many glass's of wine shared with all and the weariness that comes with hours of good fun, family and friends!
