Champ Spawn 101

We have Champ spawns available here as one of our events.  They can be a lot of fun and very challenging... and they are becoming a pain in the bee-hind for staffers. So, here is a little study guide for Champ spawns.

Number 1 ... Champ spawns ARE DANGEROUS.  There is a lot of spawn and it gets increasingly tougher until the boss shows up.

Number 2... If you are going to go to a champ spawn, there is a very good chance that you will DIE, and die, and maybe die some more.  That's the way it goes, cause champ spawns are dangerous.

Number 3...  If you do not have your items insured, or you have something special you just can't stand the thought of losing, DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE CHAMP SPAWN, because.. champ spawns are dangerous, and you will die.  If you are going to participate in the champ spawn, insure your items, or leave them in your bank.

Number 4 .... Clean out your pack.  When we run a Champ spawn as an event, remember there are designated looters, and all the gold, atonements and any special items are to be shared at the end of the event.  In that case, please empty your pack of all the gold and atonements that you have BEFORE you go into the Champ spawn area.

Number 5 ...  Staff will NOT replace any items, special or otherwise, that you might lose because of a death in the Champ spawn.  Monsters loot you, your body decays before you get back to it, all kinds of things happen.  Again, Referring back to Number 3, if you don't wanna lose it, insure it, or don't take it.

There ARE designated looters.  Let them loot, and no grabbing and atoning unless you are one of those chosen looters.

The issue I found to be frustratiing  is not losing items to the spawn, but to other players who are not designated looters, but loot anyway.

If people would just listen to the instructions given and then follow them, there would be a lot less confusion and frustration for all involved.

There are designated looters for a reason.

But, that's just one Orc's opionion...

We have been doing a few more champ spawns lately, so I thought this post deserved a bump as a refresher.

I have always let everyone loot BUT ONLY 1 person is to loot the champ and divide loot.

And nobody loots the  money at the end until the Champ has been looted or the arty will be lost in someone's pack and it takes 30mins to figure out where it went.
