I tripped across a couple more things I wanted to ask, if you have answers, if not maybe something to think on.

What happens with Vet rewards? Will we get a new series of them? Soul stones?  Ummm I think that is it for now. I was just getting ready to spend some Vet points last night and it got me to thinking. If I spend these, will I loose the items and increases when we move, or should I save the points?

We are still sorting the Vet rewards out, but do plan on doing something so you don't lose all you've stored up here in the way of vet rewards.

So would we be better of saving them for now? I was bout to get a couple soul stones, increase my skill cap, and buy a hue.

Here's an idea I had for the new SH. What if each character could have, in addition to their allotted skill cap, an addition 100 points into a craft skill? It would make each character able to contribute to the economy, which would probably be a boon.

For example (say the skill cap is 800):

100 Macing
100 Anatomy
100 Tactics
100 Healing
100 Parrying
100 Bushido
100 Chivalry
100 Resisting
AND
100 Carpentry (or any craft skill - tinker, smith, scribe, bowcrafter etc).

Just an idea.

Mule characters would have this too, of course.

Tongue  meh,  if there was to be an extra skill bonus,  sure wouldn't want it to be a crafting one lol.

That's the point. No more over powered characters, but well balanced with at least some crafting utility.

Imagine having a warrior with smithing as his craft skill. She/he is in a group and someone desperately needs something repaired. Who ya gonna call? Warrior-smithy!

Everyone having 100 in a craft skill wouldn't stop there being "over powered" characters It also wouldn't help the economy in the long run as most players will still be using most of their character slots and thus would be able to effectively distribute the crafts essential to themselves between all their characters freeing up a character slot in some cases or freeing up a significant amount of levels on one of them as they would no longer need a dedicated mule or full crafter.

Besides how would you repair their weapon, shield or metal stuff out in the field without a portable anvil/ forge? not to mention the fact that if you have time to do the interaction and repair you'd have had enough time for them to do it themselves with their own smith or with a gate to a Smith shop and a Repair Deed. Doing such a repair mid group fight would not be a nice thing to do as its going to remove or restrict what 1 - 2 players are doing for up to a minute when they should be fighting.

Just to be sure, were there plans to transfer characters to the new shard? I thought I had read that somewhere.

Your current characters will not be transfered but if you are a vet player here, PM me with your account name and your main character name.  Vets will be getting a head start so to speak but we have not yet determined exactly how much of one.
