Okay vets this is your chance to speak up and be heard. We are curious what you would take with you. When we start the new shard what would you want to have as your "leg up" so to speak?
We are just curious about ideas, posting here is no guarantee that we can make it happen but we want to see what you could consider a fair start.
Please remember that we are looking to reward your loyalty without making the new shard too easy or to make it too hard for new comers to compete as well.

hmm, heres what id like to see us get. i liked the idea on the vet rewards of getting one vet reward for every set of rewards that we have recieved then start over from there. i dont want to take alot of gold with us maybe just enough to buy us some skill and regs and things we need to get started no more than maybe 50k or so. im not sure what amount of skill you plan to start the the accounts with if its still the 3 skills at 70 or 2 at 100 then maybe give vets maybe another 100 or so to put where they want, then maybe give vets one house so that we have a place to live, other than that i think we we need to start pretty much as newbies, im actually looking forward to rebuilding and having to work for what i get . i look forward to teaming up with friends, and all of us working togather to help rebuild out lives on the new shard, and if we get to much then it kinda defeats the pupose of starting over, if we have to start over i think it would be neat for all of us to start as newbies and work our way back up,

I like the idea of starting over. Maybe just a little more gold in the pocket would be nice; I'm a mage and therefore have an herb (reagent) habit

I agree with those that have already given input. A small leg up would be nice, but nothing over the top. I am also looking forward to starting over and building up a new character. Perhaps enough gold for a small house, a survey tool, and some regs or tithe. Just to allow folks to “stake their claim” to a favorite plot. Depending on what the vet rewards are we will receive, that may be all we need for a boost. I would like to see those that transfer over maybe receive a statue or banner with the server born on date, or something to that effect. I think it would make a nice deco item and honor those that were there at the beginning. Val/Hayward PS, Also once we know more of the new shard rules, other ideas may come to mind. OH, and when can I move

For me I think a leg up with skills/stats would be beneficial. I don't mind starting over, I just hate grinding/macroing just to get my skills up. It took me a long time to finally get my taming maxed and I did it the old fashioned way before I had any vet awards to increase skills. I don't know that I would want to go thru that headache again. Other than that, like others have mentioned maybe a plot/house and a bit of a cash advance along with some regs for us casters, bandies for those meat shields and tithes for those who like them paladin spells. I also like Valkiera's idea of an item. Whether it's deco, like a statue, for our homes or maybe even a blessed item that we could wear to show our devotion to our shard. Besides I like shinies, and what better way to show off our vet status than with some shiny item to show it. I know I'll miss my hue, but I won't have to go far to see it since our original Sylvan isn't going anywhere.

Absolutely,
The thought of grinding again after 2 years of it to get 5 chars fully maxed is enough to make ya cry. Anything to help with that would be nice. The vet rewards we already have earned would be nice, or at least some equivalent.

I'm still around.. barely. Will find out next week if we're moving to CT or not.
But, as a player I'd like my skills/stats transferred over or as much as the cap will allow. I'll miss my special pet. And ESP miss all the hues I've collected over the 4 years I've been here. Will there be special hues there? And like a lot of others have mentioned; the vet rewards I have and some gold to deck out a house.
What about the players that donated real money and received rewards such as skill cap increase, etc..? Will those be lost?

I really like the idea of getting a plot in a unique location. Maybe someplace a house can’t normally be placed, similar to some that were auctioned off previously. This may be asking for a bit much, but I think it’s a great idea.

I have to admit, I really like the "unique land plot" idea. Though, I guess that might kind of depend on the number of players taking part in the transfer. If the new shard doesn't have the "first house is free" deal (haven't seen it mentioned in other threads or anything), perhaps offer the vets a free first house.
The banner idea is neat too.
Head starts on stats/skills are nice but I don't think I'd want a full character transfer. Seems to kind of defeat the purpose of having a new shard if people come in as high-skill/stat characters already. While I might not look forward to the "grinding", it will be fun to watch people working up through all the mid-level content again.
