Character Naming

I also reiterate that information when I send an account acceptance to the person requesting a new account, I even include links a person can use if they need help finding a name.

Remember when naming your character, please choose a more role playing type name. Comic book, TV star, Movie or d00d type names will be changed.

You would think with all these rules and reminders, and the number of people who say.. "Yes, I've read the forums, website, rules..." that we wouldn't have to play the name police and rename  players who come in as Jesus, or Sir Narnia, or Anti Deth, Scrawny Peter, and the list goes on, and there are others out there that are borderline acceptable.

We have been nice about it. We send them a message.. "Hello, I'm afraid you need to pick a new name.  Is there something you would like it changed to? "   Well, that ends NOW.  Next name that is not appropriate will be changed to whatever Staff would like.  We should not have to constantly be patroling for weird names when there are plenty of places where naming regulations are posted. You may soon see an entire flock of Bobs and Bobbis running around.

Again. I am sorry. I didn't realize that I had an inappropriate name. I had it changed by Kyder (I think). I was just using it as a novelty.

No harm done. Im sure there are some real creative names that people have tried to get away with.

The kind of names that i Think the staff is  trying to prohibit are  names like  "Popeye  or  Orvilredenbocker and names like such where they just dont fit into the game at all .  well i hope i am right on my assumption .

    my son could not come up with a name for his character, and he is too much an idiot and in a rush to go find a name generator.  He ended up picking legolas, and we know that name is not good for here...so as is my parental right...you guys can change his name to whatevah ya like, lol   he will understand..if he dont i will just smack his botty,  ha ha ha ( we have a friendly in game rivalry going on,   * evil Grin *)
