we normally open it for a short period of time then close it, opening the Dino dungeon...... then we switch...... I think it is closed for now *smiles*

Yhea, Both are on rotation as Ky said. When one is open the other is closed. Rotation usually last 6 to 8 weeks or used to, Both zones seem closed to me at this moment. Prehistoric dungeon either needs re-opening or its time on the Rota as ended for now. I know it was the currently active/ open last week.

Noobie questions:

What gates are these?
Where are they?
Can you get to these liars/dungeons any other way other than these gates which I am asking about?

The gates are entrances to the special periodical dungeons (StillWater Deep and Prehistoric Dungeon).

Locations are somewhat hush hush, in that I can't say directly unless things have changed regarding customs rules. Its best to ask via PM ingame to a senior player for a hint.

There are only one way for a player to enter these dungeons, when that one way is closed you can't go into the dungeon until it is time for it to be re-opened again.

Okay, so either I don't understand this correctly, or else it doesn't work correctly.  Because, from the way I have read these posts, players should NOT be able to enter either the dino dungeon or the pirate place.  However, I was just in the dino dungeon.  I am so confused!!!

I never said you should not be able to get into either dungeon when it is open, When a dungeon as had its time it is closed and no one (except Staff) can enter it, when a dungeon is opened anyone can go into it. I merely said the last 4 times I went to the Dino dungeon in the last week it was closed off, same with Still Water, its probably the terminal I am using as I know full well Prehistoric dungeon is supposed to be open. I mentioned the fact that both locations are closed to me on the off-chance that perhaps a revert or restart nocked off the openings and it wasn't just an isolated issue with the terminal I am using.

Duh to me!  lol    I totally missed that Acacia said that!  hahaha!  Okay, sorry for my stupidity and sorry if I confused anyone else!  It happens.

PS- Forest, check your first post again.  You didn't say that the last 4 times you went to the Dino Dungeon that it was closed and that it was probably just a terminal problem.  You said "Both zones seem closed to me at this moment. Prehistoric dungeon either needs re-opening or its time on the Rota as ended for now."  That's what made me think that it was supposed to be closed.  And then I missed Acacia's post, so that was why I was confused.  I guess I need to be more careful in my reading!

I had NO clue at the time of posting that it was anything other a map issue, since people after my first post mentioned that they could enter the dungeon the likelyhood of it being a terminal issue greatly increased. I hadn't visited it 4 times at the point of the first post (It was twice at the time of the first post), though since the first post it as been 4 times.

Seem is along way from is and to me is along way from is to others.

As with "Prehistoric dungeon either needs re-opening or its time on the Rota as ended for now" There is nothing in that sentance that states that it is supposed to be closed....

But meh, no worries.
