UO Gateway and Connect UO

Hello,  I have played on this server before With Cult of Malas under the name Kelrik, as well as with Sanguine Wild with the name Tanth.  I haven't been on in almost a year due to the birth of my daughter however I am looking into bringing my guild here as a rest haven and a family friendly place to RP.  I cannot however find UO Gateway anymore as it seems to be dead and I cannot find any other download clients.  I saw one member hosted the UO GAteway client on their personal website but when I went to launch It i received a non valid WIn 32 client error.  Any suggestions or links as to how to connect?

Outlook decided to do me a favor and block the attachment.  I cannot figure out how to unblock it but i added you to my safe sender list could you resend?

Might have to add the attachment to a .zip file and if that doesn't work add it to a .rar file. Outlook can be a bit overprotective at times.

ok Gateway is up and I added the new Sylvan info however its telling me I have no clients installed while I do have mondains installed.  I tried to edit the info file but that didnt work any clue how to get it to see Mondains?

I will have to yeild to Marlenus on this I am not hugely computer savvy but I will keep looking for an answer in the meantime.

I will be leaving for work shortly but will be home roughly 1:30 am est.  Will see what more i can do then.

It looks as though part of the problem is the UOG.rar.txt file even with it just named uog.rar it still sees it as a text doc.

Open your UOgateway folder.

Click the tools menu at the top.

Select Folder Options.

Select the View tab.

In the white box below make sure that "Hide extensions for known file types" is NOT checked.

Apparently MS thinks that people will be confused if they can see file extensions... Really.. I think it's more confusing when you CAN'T see them.

Do this and then check the file name again. Make sure it is uog.rar

Ok got that sorted out but now it says the following

UOGateway was unable to uncompress the downloaded serverlist. reason: Error creating Directory or file.

I hit ok and try any way and I get the same no clients installed message

Should all else fail do you have Connect UO?

strange... Do you have WinRAR installed?

If not go to http://www.rarsoft.com/download.htm and download WinRAR 3.80 beta 2.

If you don't already have this installed, try installing it and see if it helps.

winw rar is installed and no i do not have connect uo as i cannot find a download client.
