A Connection Guide to Sylvan Heart

Also.. If you downloaded UO from the UO website.. make sure you get the one from FilePlanet.. it's file name is uoml_setup.exe..  The other one will not work.


One more thing.. ConnectUO likes to minimize itself to the system tray.. If it is there and you try to open a new ConnectUO it will give you an error message. Just double click the icon in the system tray to open it back up again.

4.) Sylvan Heart is not an auto-account creation shard.  You will need to send a request for an account.

   * Please send Admin Acacia, a pm.
   * Tell her a bit about your gaming experience, UO, role play, and the like.
   * Be sure to include an Account name  and Password that you would like to use to log in with. 

     She can't make your account without these.

5.) If ConnectUO errors right off the bat do the following.

    Even if it says error, when it is open go to Tools > Options then click browser tab,

    then change the template from release to default. Click ok and then click the refresh button this

    will change it so you can see the shard listings.

    Then double click Sylvan under wherever you have it, then log in as you normally would.

6.) Click the "File" menu at the top left of the ConnectUO window.

    Select "Add Local"

    In the new window there are a few options. Configure them like so..

    Server Name: Sylvan Heart

    Description: Manual Connection

    Patch Url: http://www.sylvanheart.co.uk/newpatches/muo.txt

    Update Url: Leave Blank

    Host Address: jhs59.homeip.net

    Port: 1980

    Make sure that "Patch client encryption" is checked.

    Click "Add"

   If you've done all of this then a new connection will have shown up in your ConnectUO
   Favorites and you should be able to use it to connect.

So I take it you got it working?

well kinda need to make sure i have the right login and password waiting on PM from Acacia to confirm.  As it is it just sits at the connecting screen the times out and says try again later.

Using the prebuilt link in UOConnect and while it launches I dont see any patching and when i put in my username and password which i have confirmed with Acacia it sits on connecting and then says cannot connect at this time.  Could I not be patched up far enough?
