Vista

Hello all,

  I got a new laptop sometime back and it has windows Vista on it.  I have followed every link on the forums concerning Vista and getting UO to run on it. I was able to log on twice this morning  but now I can not. I keep getting a gray screen and then it locks up.

I have tried everything Marlenus stated and all the steps Tawny posted and still the gray screen and lock up.

If anyone can help me I would great appreciate it..

i have vitsa, and none of the work arounds worked for me, i ened up downloading the independent thingie, and it works GREAT for me honestly

What independent thingie hun? If you mean the beta testing. I tried it too and get the same gray screen.

Hrmm, well, I run Vista as well. The setup was problematic but in the end I was able to get gateway/razor/UO to all work.

I did have to reinstall them all a few times using the same settings that should have worked to finally get them all working so my first suggestion would be try reinstalling them all.

Well I tried that. I have uninstalled and redownloaded 4 times now and still all i get is a gray screen locks up and I have to ctrl, alt del to get it to end. I am at a total loss now as to what to do.

Hey, just so you know I haven't deserted you.  My hard drive crashed and with that and vacations, visitors, etc, I am still in the process of getting back into the game.  Having all the same issues I had when I got my new computer but I figured it out then and I will figure it out again.  Hope to see you all by the end of the week now that I finally have time to work on it.  Prosperity
