The pacing cat

The thought had been in his head for a while now.  To be back in the forest's, roaming free without work to worry about.  The town had become stagnant with bleak hopes for a revival this time.

"What should I do Chimpy? Should we just go back to the forest and live like we did before we came here so long ago?"  he asked the cappuchin monkey turned mongbat at his side as he sat upon the roof of his shop, Big Cat Metalwerks.  Chimpy just looks up at him and eats a sugar cube from the small bag he had taken earlier from a passing trader's cart.  "Maybe i'm just over thinking it is all old buddy, we'll see."

The day's had passed and still the thought was in his mind to return to the forest, his true home.  He had barely eaten this day, the day he told himself he would decide and as he stood out in the rain it became clear it was time to find himself again, in his true home.
